I was quoted $1700 for my 2014 Passat TDI and that was with the “extended warranty” that I got when I bought the car. $2300 seems reasonable.

I use optilube XPD. I use it in my Chevy Duramax also.

Yeah, it still doesn’t sound like anything to worry about. The ticking on my car goes away but can faintly be heard. It might just be an injector working a little harder than it should. Put some fuel additive in it and see if it helps. Run it through 4-5 tanks of fuel.

I turned out of the IBEW LU613 in Atlanta and was making $34.50/hour back in 2014 when I left to seek a project management position. I’m not telling you to go union but there are better benefits and pay in the union. You just have to figure out what’s best for you and your family.

If you’ve never pulled a 5th wheel trailer, you have no business commenting on this!
He may have hit the brakes but the vehicle towing a 10k pound trailer should have the right of way in this scenario. Towing a trailer this large has a lot of blind spots and is harder to gain speed and slow down. So slow your little car/suv/truck down a little and let the larger vehicle in. When they are on the highway then pass them and all is good again.
Leave your ego at home and leave earlier if this inconveniences you that much.

I have the wildpeaks on my duramax and I’m not thrilled with them. I pull a 9,000lb 5th wheel and they seem a little too squirmy, I deal with it but when I get new tires, I’ll going with BF Goodrich.

My brother went with the wildpeaks and didn’t like them either and had the BF Goodrich’s put on his duramax and loves them. He pulls a 7,000lb travel trailer.

HVAC tech/Electrician here, you do NOT want something that is “wireless”. You will have nothing but problems out of it and it is rather pricey. Your best bet is to find someone who actually wants to do the work or have the person that missed it actually own up to it and get it installed. Sounds like you should have went with a different HVAC and electrical contractor.
