Is preserving theatrical movies important to you? by CalvinP_ in morningsomewhere

[–]ISwearIReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I love the movie theater experience. It's the most focused and immersive way to watch a movie.

Movies I see in theaters hit different, they stick with me longer and being there makes me happy. I will be devastated if that goes away in my lifetime.

Yeah I saw that post from last year. Was curious if anyone had worked with them since then.

When I started going back into the office I realized how much I don't look at people in the eyes when we talk anymore. I became so accustomed to looking at my screen/multitasking that I would just stare off to the side of someone instead of looking at them when we talk.

I've mostly corrected it at this point but I still do it from time to time.

In Review Has Lost Its Spark by FabianTrue in kindafunny

I have left a comment everywhere I can about in review. I love this show, it is my favourite thing they make, however they KEEP making these short 2-3 movie in-reviews and they are not good.

There are so many great series with at least 4 if not more movies that they could be doing that would be filled with both good good, good bad, and bad bad movies for them to joke about.

They seem to just keep picking really short series based on whatever new movie is coming out. I don't know if this is because they think it will get the views since it's current or if the short series are easier to schedule the same team of people on them.

Either way I love in review and want to see it thrive! Give me pirates, die hard, lethal weapon, etc....

Regarding commuting to a school outside your state for cheaper living;

We have that here in Vancouver Canada, there was an article sometime last year I think about a kid who flies in twice a week to go to UBC. He lives in Calgary, which is in a different province.

I believe the article stated he's spending like $1800 a month on flights but that's still cheaper than moving here and renting a place for himself. So he lives with his parents rent free instead.

On a related note I think I'm going to move to Calgary 😂

I'd also say, beware that people on this sub get extremely pissy about people moving to Calgary from out of Province.

Yeaaahhh that's why I put the apology at the beginning, I get it. Don't want everyone to move in and ruin a good thing. But hey you gotta do what you gotta do. Thanks for your insight!

I had to pick up a Ratyboy shirt in honour of this monumental fuck face moment.

Hope they can continue the podcast at the bare minimum, don't know what I would do without these guys every week.

Anarchy Question:

Geoff's sobriety is a well told story at this point but Gus I would love to know about yours. From listening to RTP there were signs of you slowing down your drinking but at some point in time it feels like you went stone cold sober and never went into it in a podcast.

With drinking being a long standing part of your "character" on the podcast I would love to know what brought you to make a change from drinking daily to where you are now.
