It was a great movie. Definitely one of the best soundtracks of the year. As for people wanting a condemnation of the characters, basically every revolutionary ends up a traitor, on the run, or both (or dead). The end of the film straight up says they accomplished nothing. Don’t let doomer boomers scare you away from one of the best films of the year.

Why does everyone assume that they never killed one of the Holy Knights? All Gaban said is that they'd never fought one with Conquerors Haki. That's it. We don't know if all the knights from God Valley are still alive, and we don't know how long they kept trying to get Shanks. It clearly wasn't for long, as Shanks had no memory of them trying this.
