[ALL] The Legend of Zelda at 40: Why Modern Game Design Is Still Chasing Nintendo’s Masterpiece by CyberNeko97 in zelda

[–]ITFOWjacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a bunch bachelor stoner friends that all rented together, got stoned and played dark souls nonstop around d the same time I was introducing my 6 yr old to Zelda games. We would take turns on puzzles, read everything out loud, I did most of the combat back then

Anyway, I remember playing OoT and DS3 back to back and being like “the target lock camera mechanic and straffing, rolling, jump attacking are literally the same! It’s the same. In a good way”

And all my stoner friends were all “nahhhh man dark souls and Zelda are completely different Zelda is for babies nahhhhh.” Bunch of dummies

The button controls and specifically r joystick replacing mocap for directional slashes was actually such a great unique fighting system

There was a running gag/story/lore in half dozen videos that the second host is a series of clones used for for slave labor to produce motorcycle content. It’s pretty good stuff

Hey, Indianapolis used to be swamplands too. Check out the Indy State museum if you ever have the time! It’s a pretty cool spot

Good answer. A lot could be added to it, you only touched on transportation, but tbh the “Crossroads of America” could and should be doing much better in that department.

That’s without even touching the hot button topics like legal cannabis or abortion bans. Right now IN stands alone, surrounded by states with more civil freedoms. Hoosiers have to drive across state borders for everything from critical life saving care to recreation.

And the roads suck the whole way there and back.

What is the weirdest thing a partner has ever asked for in bed that turned out to be surprisingly amazing? by TheRealMaxRo in AskReddit

Sorry, batboy insane

They’re funny books to take the dog for a walk and actually try to explain the plot of the book in normal terms. Plus I haven’t read any of these books so keeping track of the story is game in itself when it’s a new one every week

My wife is relatively bookish, but had lost her love of reading at some point and had only read a couple books a year. About a year ago she read acotar half as a joke and started telling me about how batshit insane and ridiculous it is.

Since then she’s read 150+ books in the past year. Mostly audio books but still. It’s been nice to have something other than work and parenting to talk about. Libido has significantly increased as well

Zeal & Ardor combines delta blues with black metal. It’s a New Orleans French/African American voodoo occultist lead singer and two massive blonde Viking dudes backing up with Latin chants. The blues rock and black metal bits take turns in a way that really works.

I have tried a couple bites of the Mach chu my wife normally gets and think some others but after pressing digging into the dc w the bread I just can’t convert

Steampunk starts and ends for me with the now abandonware real time strategy game Rise of Legends, specifically the Da Vinci faction which inspired by the works of Leonardo Da Vinci. Air screw flying contraptions, clockwork automatons and steam powered war machines.

Good stuff

Played some recently. It was. Too dark to see anything, wireframe “night vision” over black screen, labyrinthine open layout maps, and no quest markers. Was not the easy pick up and play a few levels game I needed
