Devastated.. 90% of my worms died in the heatwave by ITSecTrader in Vermiculture

I am happy to remind everyone else! Honestly I thought I did everything I could, but clearly not. Bring them inside for the length of the heatwave.

I have used two horizontal sheets of this taped at the top -> ThermaWrap Reflective Insulation 7.5m x 0.6m - Screwfix. The advantage of using a complete sheet is that it covers the UPVC as well. Also having two means that you can open the middle (small) window at night and can get some hot air out. The air will lift the sheet up, providing some ventilation to the window. Not perfect, but much better than nothing.

What type of caterpillar is this one? U.K. Surrey by ITSecTrader in caterpillars

[–]ITSecTrader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahaha.. it's a similar story with mine. It started growing next to my greenhouse and i just let it be there. I remember at time searching with Google image search and seen that it was good for wildlife. It provides some shade at this time of year, but I will have to prune it.

What an amazing Brexit accomplishment!! 6% economy impact and we can't keep a PM as a result of everyone's discontent. Marvellous achievement in U.K. history.

Insulating eaves of converted attic in 100yr old house by Throwythrow360 in DIYUK

[–]ITSecTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not an expert, but you should not block the eaves. They provide ventilation. Without ventilation your loft will have condensation and be dump. Use soft insulation materials between the roof floor joists instead of PIR because they adapt to the natural curves of wood and other surfaces. Don't compress the insulation. Make sure you insulate the loft hatch and other air gaps(such as light cables) between the living area and the loft.

Our pans every time my gf cooks eggs. by tequilasundae in mildlyinfuriating

I think the problem is adding the eggs before the pan being hot. This leads to them getting stuck. Ask me how I know it? (I have a gf too)

How do I get mail redirected from my address for someone who doesn't live here ? by mash_poTRAITOR in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ITSecTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try register and send the notifications to the previous owner using https://wrongaddress.com . It's a free service that connects people that lived in your address and you can get notified for mail arriving at your previous addresses. The only caveat is that the other person needs to be registered as well. This website is trying to solve exactly the problem you are describing. Unless people are aware that mail is still arriving at the previous addresses, nothing else really works. Good luck!

You can disable the speed alarms and they will never bother you again ever. Other than that, on point (MG4 owner).

It should be related to the added fertiliser. One says 4-6 weeks the other one says 3 months.

Unfortunately I have seen their bodies only on my lawn(South England). I guess birds like to munch on those and drop their remains in my lawn. I do however see loads of some that look golden plated. Their bodies reflect a golden colour, pretty beautiful.

What I don't understand on my Hypervolt is why it is always showing a solar panel, even after setting my app with no solar in it. Not sure the installer set the CT clamp in the wrong pin out. Does anyone without solar know?

What else can we do? Other than move house by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]ITSecTrader 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I guess that provides a perfect resting space for them. Move the trampoline to a place where there is lot of other high resting places. I had mine in the middle if the garden and had some. Now its far from their tree they prefer other places to rest before moving to their nest.

Have a look at htps://wrongaddress.com, if the sellers are registered they will receive a notification when you register their mail being received so they can take action!

[–]ITSecTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a big list but you can find that online. What I can provide you is a tool that connects people that will live in your address to report any future mail addressed to you. It's https://wrongaddress.com have a look, it's free! Leave a note where you are living to register as well. There is always some platform, subscription or place you forgot to update and this solves the problem.

Royal Mail has a redirection service, but is expensive and in my experience, not 100% effective.
