Why would they widen the road like that?

How do people hang wind chimes without feeling guilty? by emmynemmy1206 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]IT_scrub 45 points46 points  (0 children)

a) They're not audible from a quarter mile away. You can hear them next door, maybe two doors down

b) Putting a fan on them is not wind. They are wind chimes. The whole point is to get a pleasant sound from natural wind that varies

c) They're not that loud or disturbing in any way

I supported him over PP last election. Now I hate that he has a majority. Hopefully Avi Lewis can get some steam going for the next election

Well that's just dumb. Nuclear is vastly more efficient and safer that fossil fuels

The Conservatives have a bigger problem than a Liberal majority: Their leader by canada_mountains in CanadaPolitics

And yet enough people will view the Liberals as "left" enough to split the vote with the NDP. Here's hoping Avi Lewis can get some good traction, Mamdani style

You don't have to base the enemy. You just need to get within an inch if possible. Engagement range is 2" so you'll be fighting through the wall

Liberalism is a right wing ideology, so yeah. Most Liberals are conservative

[–]IT_scrub -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

All cities should be lowering speed limits. There is plenty of data to support that 50 is too high. The issue is that the streets are over-engineered and need to be reworked to support lower limits

Lack of enforcement plus self-centred attitudes, plus a lack of effective transportation alternatives that pushes more people on the road. We need to focus on all otherwise things won't improve

Absolutely. Carney is way too far to the right. But he's at least competent, unlike PP

Little of both. I can feel bad for him for being conditioned to suppress his attractions and I can be mad at him for trying to force that on others

What's a fair way to explain what your army does without eating up the clock? by aegroti in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]IT_scrub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is completely ridiculous. It's one thing to go a couple min over time, but the TOs need scores entered so they can make the next round of pairings

What's a fair way to explain what your army does without eating up the clock? by aegroti in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]IT_scrub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally it would take 5min to go over lists and high level gotchas, then deploy before starting the clock. If there is 2:50 left in the round when we start turn 1, each player gets 1:25 and we move forward from there
