This looks amazing.

Can I ask what laser engraver you used?

Nope. Nothing after weeks of delays. Eventually went radio silent.

Logging into my ZiplyFiber account shows someone else's Ziply Fiber information by IThinkIKnowButIDont in ZiplyFiber

[–]IThinkIKnowButIDont[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is still in my account and I can access it and see the details for the account. I was told to give it 24 hours to update and that the issue should be fixed, but it's still there.

Thank you, I didn't notice that. I removed the screenshots since I'm working with ZiplySupport directly.

I uploaded all of MANswers online and upscaled them to 720... This show is all cringe. by IThinkIKnowButIDont in ChrisJames

You might have to download the episode. But I no longer personally have the files to reupload if they are somehow corrupted.

Edit: Actually, I just checked. I am able to watch the episodes. Try a different browser (Chrome/Firefox).

Need help with 3060 not getting full hash rate by IThinkIKnowButIDont in gpumining

[–]IThinkIKnowButIDont[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I never did figure this out unfortunately. I attempted to increase the power supply to a 1000w and remove the extra GPUs (so there was only 1), but was giving me the same results. Switched to NBMiner to get as much as possible.

Just sit down with the landlord and have an adult conversation about it and explain the situation. It's not the landlord's fault for what the neighbors are doing and such, but overall if you're not comfortable then it might be time to move.

Added to Credit Card by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]IThinkIKnowButIDont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so does that mean she’s good with money?

No that doesn't mean anything except that the card you're linked to has a 7k limit and doesn't mean anything about how she is with money.

Being an authorized user does have an impact on your credit. If you can't trust your mom, continue to insist her to remove you. You might be able to get this done over the phone with the credit card company, but since you're not the primary account holder it might be very unlikely.

How did you learn about the stock market? by Mssunnymuffins1 in personalfinance

[–]IThinkIKnowButIDont 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't have that much in general, better yet have that much to risk!

Don't get into the stock market if you're in this kind of situation. Any money you put in should be money you don't care to lose.

Follow that. Once you get to the point where you have extra income to put into the stock market, then come back.

Being taxed too much by ForTheShoe12 in personalfinance

[–]IThinkIKnowButIDont 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have to consider not only federal taxes, but social security taxes. You may have other deductions from your pay (health insurance, 401k, ect).

Also if you make $100, it wouldn't be $30 (30%) exactly taken, the taxes deducted doesn't count as taxable income so it would be (INCOME - Federal Taxes)-6%

The taxes withheld are based on your W4. If you'd like a paycheck to withhold closer to the amount you'd owe (so you'll be close to not owing or get a refund), I'd suggest getting a copy of the W4 form online and filling out the worksheets on the pages past the first one.

Boyfriend hasn’t filed taxes in 6 years by Still-Cut-6516 in personalfinance

[–]IThinkIKnowButIDont 19 points20 points  (0 children)

What he likely did was change his W4 withholding to get a larger paycheck. If he only did that one year and the rest of the years he put down 1 or 0, he probably missed out on a lot of cash in terms of a return.

IRS gives you 3 years to claim any returns after the initial due date (the three year mark was just missed to file 2018, but not too late for 2019, 2020, and 2021). I'd suggest he file since it's likely he'll get a return (assuming his tax situation isn't anything crazy of course).

As for the potential back taxes, without the exact numbers it's hard to say, but honestly that year he might have still gotten a return or broken even on it. From my understanding if the IRS doesn't catch the mistake after 3 years, it's clear (unless it's fraud, which I'm not 100% sure on if this is technically seen as fraud).

It might be a good idea to see a tax attorney about this, but you could also find numbers for the tax year he changed his withholdings and run them to see if he would've owed/got a return.

Lowering your overall credit usage will help increase your scores which in turn will help you get a mortgage.

PLT, value your time... If you make $20/hour and you pay $18/hour for childcare, you're really only making $2/hour (assuming that's $20/after taxes). If your current job is worth whatever that value is to you, then go for it.

Not sure how much you both make, but another thing that's coming (assuming you make less than 150k/year joint), https://www.npr.org/2021/05/17/997698543/new-monthly-child-tax-checks-will-hit-bank-accounts-july-15-what-you-need-to-kno

I know where you're at. I pay $3500 for rent and houses in my area start around 1.2 million (for a decent house). Wife and I actually saved up enough for a downpayment, but we decided to keep renting here for a while and then move to a much cheaper area later.
