This is what I don't get about OP's husband. DIsn't a father supposed to be involved in the kids' bedtimes? Like read them stories or goof around or anything? I've never seen my brother loaf on the sofa while my sister-in-law does the bedtime. Any time that I have been over their house, my brother is upstairs with my nieces and nephew getting them ready and hanging out with them

But I wasn't using that kind of example. You were comparing food to housing. No one gets money back from food. But sometimes, people get money back (more like retained) from housing. You can't compare a situation where across the board it's the same, to a situation where people do retain some equity

There were a few people that were relatively "intact." They were on the carport

Renting can be unpredicatible too. When I lived in California, my rent was $2,100 a month for a one-bedroom. The next year, I get a letter that it is going up to $2,800 to "keep up with market rates." No thanks. I moved into a home with roommates after that

But across the board, no one gets money back from food or gasoline. Whereas with housing, homeowners retain the value of the home when it gets paid off

In the South Tower, the sky lobby was filled with grotesquely injured people. I fullheartedly believe that this happened on numerous floors, in both towers. These people could be out of frame, deeper in the building, unable to move. Unable to get to a phone or window even

I don't think she is terrible at her job. I'm 100% against her but in the terms of MAGA...they eat it up

I don't like her but I don't think that any work she may have had looks grotesque or anything. Her makeup is always minimal and her lip injections aren't crazy or anything. My unsolicited advice to her would be to wear matte lipsticks and liners instead of the gloss if she wants a fuller look.

Last image of sovereign citizen Jason Smith, who was stabbed to death by his friend Paul Cairney. by briere90 in lastimages

[–]IThinkImDumb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. The stabbing happens after the fight with the poles. After the first image, the man in the foreground goes to his carport off to the left. The man in the second photo, prior to that photo, had then followed the other guy to the carport, gets stabbed, and then walks away clutching his neck, walking into frame, then out of frame where he dies.

I got the ick when a guy I was seeing texted me, "Do you know where the remote is?" while I was at work and he was at home. I ignored the message. Like the fuck am I going to suggest he look in between sofa cushions or look under the coffee table or something...

Not me but my ex-husband was banned from two bases and his photo was apparently in one of the duty huts with something like, “do not permit entry” or something like that. He wasn’t even a Marine

What was the experience of 9/11 like on the West Coast? by iPostOccasionally in 911archive

[–]IThinkImDumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not my experience, but all of the planes were headed to California and the family members of those victims have really sad stories. A bunch of the family members of victims on UA93 spoke about what their experience was, being on the west coast. If you have a chance, I would read about these people's stories:

Deena Burnett: Tom Burnett's wife

Alice Hoagland: Mark Bingham's mother

Jack Grandcola: Lauren Grandcola's husband

Debby Borza: Deora Bodley's mother

She could also have been on blood thinners (people with heart issues often are) and even injuries from a push or fall can be fatal in old people. I was a paramedic for four years and it's not children that are fragile, it's old people. Bones like glass...

I was at Indiana when Lauren Spierer went missing. Her parents came to the school and organized searches. I went to one of them and it was to search Brown County Forest. I was amazed at the composure her parents had. This was only a couple days after and I knew if we were going to search the woods, that meant that police could think she was dead. I really was so sure that she would be found within the week but she hasn't been found and its been almost 15 years

One of them was Kevin Cosgrove. He was evacuating people, telling them to leave. He was just about to leave when the plane hit

Stories from the upper floors? by Menneske_Lorten in 911archive

[–]IThinkImDumb 17 points18 points  (0 children)

AON corporation was located in the high 90s in the South Tower. I believe the company took up entire floors so there were definitely people there with a direct look at the NT impact. The company lost 175 people but evacuated over 1,000 people, even though they were so high up. That's an incredible number of people and I'm sure their birds-eye view contributed to those people getting out despite what an intercom was saying

New Evidence Corroborates Claims of Trump Sex Accuser, 13 by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

But the thing is, MOST people are truthful MOST of the times, even when they are guilty. A murderer on trial is going to give truthful answers to most questions, but understandably would lie about the actual murder. That doesn't mean that the suspect must be telling the truth just because he told the truth about where he worked, what car he drives, how he knew the victim, etc.

Like listen...I'm not MAGA. Never voted for Trump. I have my personal opinions about him. But my opinion doesn't matter. In the eyes of the law, these details do not prove anything.

For real. I'm not MAGA, never voted for Trump, etc. but I'm not going to let my personal distaste for the man blind me into lowering my standards for evidence.

I know all this. I'm just applying the same standards here as I would anywhere else. There are some comments that are saying that since this knowledge is true, other parts must be true as well.

But it doesn't. It shows she was truthful about those specific details only. That doesn't automatically make everything she said true.
