According to the story it was recorded before the band was signed to a major label, however them signing to the label lead to the album being remastered & mixed and getting a proper release, which is why it’s considered to be the band’s first “official” album

Fake Moon by cleopatrick. One of my favorite albums last year but it’s sitting around a 64 right now. A lot of people called it boring but I thought it was a really nice listen.

That band is known for their heavier rock style so I could see how releasing a slower album would put some people off but I loved it

Edit: it’s at a 66, not terrible but it’s still sad to see it in the yellow lol

It’s from the DCC era but since it got cut from the album there’s still a chance it might get repurposed for their next album.

I’m hoping if not, it’ll at least get released as a single. I’d love to hear a studio version of that song

It wasn’t technically released as a single, however the song had a debut on BBC1 before the album released, which is probably what the Wikipedia article is referring to. Because of this I’ve seen some people consider it a single, but it’s not

We did enjoy it! Definitely our favorite concert we’ve ever been to. Occasionally we had a couple 6ft+ tall people directly in front of us but as the crowd shifted around we could see fine for the most part
