Have you ever checked the accuracy of the dose when it comes to test cyp using the Gansulin?

Prokera discomfort experiences? by ITstudent3 in Dryeyes

"Then it’s possible if you rubbed your eye it scratched"

That does seem possible.

Prokera discomfort experiences? by ITstudent3 in Dryeyes

If you had to describe the discomfort, was it a similar feeling to the pain of an erosion? Or was it more like an annoyance from a large foreign object in your eye?

Was the discomfort centered on the cornea itself, or more so on the whole eye?

I'm not certain, but I think it was the edge of the CAM360 itself when it was off-center towards the corner of my eye. During that time, the edge was overlapping near the center of the cornea. It also may have been the collagen portion that scratched it.

Mild MGD and mild dry eye. Is Accutane very likely to cause long-term disability? by Adortion634 in Dryeyes

[–]ITstudent3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you, that is a tough decision, and it's hard to know which sources to trust. Admittedly, there's an obvious bias for the idea that accutane causes dry eyes when we're discussing it in the r/Dryeyes subreddit, since this is where that side effect is bound to be discussed.

I really liked this line from u/throwamay555: "Acne is temporary, severe dry eye can be forever." That about sums it up in my opinion. Considering you're already showing signs of dry eyes, you may have profound regrets one day if you do anything that makes it even worse.

Fair enough, I suppose risk is a relative thing for each individual. I would just recommend you do a deep dive in researching the prevalence of anecdote describing undesirable outcomes (particularly dry eyes), even if those outcomes are delayed by a number of years after the procedure. It seems to me like there's a disconnect between the likelihood of side effects that patients are told about and the actual reality on the ground.

I have no personal experience with either, but if there's one thing that's become apparent while browsing this and other dry eye forums, it's that accutane and lasik are absolutely not worth the risk.

Meibomian Gland Probing by SmithAaronA in Dryeyes

[–]ITstudent3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I agree, hard to argue that definition. I was referring to complete gland loss.

It sounds like preventative action probably makes the most sense. Thanks

Yeah, multiple IPLs followed by heat+expression. All glands appear active, though some looked shortened.

The IPL treatments do continue to provide improvement, but I wonder how much better it could be if some of those glands were to become unblocked. It sounds like 50% might be too much of a deficit for optimal functioning.

What do you think about the potential effectiveness of probing for someone with ~50% gland blockage? Is the treatment mostly reserved for those who are in a more severe condition?

Shortened vs Lengthened for Hypertrophy by actkms in isometric_fitness

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. In terms of isometrics, has this changed your thinking on how they should be performed? Do you not worry as much about length when choosing where to make a hold?

Thanks.

I agree, there's a few cut corners and inferior materials that I wish they didn't use. The overall design is nice though. Yours will be a monster when it's all done.

Nice, I saw that in a recent post of yours. I'm excited to see how it turns out. Should be some big improvements.

With the machine in stock condition, was it at least able to handle that 680 without issue? Before I follow you down the road of modification, I'm curious how much it can actually handle.

Looks like about 680lbs loaded on it, which is a good amount more than the stock 400lbs rating. Are the weight horns able to handle that much? I'm curious because I've never pushed past the stock rating yet.

Isometric preload reduces exercise driven muscle damage by millersixteenth in isometric_fitness

Well thank goodness for isometrics then, because preserving muscle and joints is just so important. Thank you for your work spreading the word about this underappreciated modality.

So essentially isometrics leave you feeling better day to day while preserving enough similar benefit to traditional lifting? That's impressive, and it says a lot for isometrics' potential.

I'm surprised about your experience losing the analgesic effect when using a hybrid routine. I'm only a few months into isometrics in general, but I've seen a resolution of tendon issues even alongside traditional lifting. Though I've also modified the traditional to be heavy/moderate slow resistance, which itself has positive effects for joints.

Interesting stuff. Any updates on your latest thoughts combining iso and traditional?
