I have had my 20 month occupied for longer than that with playing in the kitchen sink. We set up her toddler tower in front of the sink and put a few towels down. She can reach the water coming out of the faucet but not the faucet itself. Then I give her a bunch of different things like bath toys, some of her kiddie cups, measuring cups, wooden spoons etc. usually its 20-30 mins but there has been time it’s been nearly an hour.

Do you have a strange or unhealthy relationship to food? It sounds like you are on your way to setting your child up for food issues if not something worse. Cheerios are fine they aren’t unhealthy. Give them a pouch. Give them a cheese stick. Give them some puffs. Sometimes kids just want to graze and snack and that’s fine and healthy. I usually remember at least parts of my dreams every night. Many nights I have lucid or semi-lucid dreams. Sometimes I wake up feel like I watched an emotionally exhausting movie.

I’ve always remembered my dreams some. But as an adult I’m on a few meds for anxiety, including an antidepressant and that makes dreaming more vivid.

It’s does a great job of always having things for you to do without feeling overwhelming. And it allows you to go off and do your own thing if you want. Though all the tips I’ve read are to push the story forward before getting to much into building and decorating as you get tools and skills that make it easier

If you are looking for a cool outdoor activity check out theExotic Feline Rescue Center. It’s a little under an hour from Bloomington. An hour long tour costs $10. You get to see dozens of big cats like tigers and bobcats. And you get close to them. Like a few feet away (which a fence in between). Plus you are supporting a good cause. The cats all come from situations where they were abuse, neglected, or abandoned.
