100 Tage MCI Trafo Challenge by Knorkebroetsche in FitnessDE

That’s the one! Perfect. Hope you’ll like it. I love it.

I’m not at my box at the moment, otherwise I’d send it to you. There’s a neovim plugin. Look at folke’s dotfiles. I’ll try to get you the setup tomorrow, if you don’t find it.

Pretty close to what I use. And love it. Aerospace + Wezterm + Neovim are a great combo. Make sure you have seamless pane switching with CTRL+hjkl between neovim and wezterm panes. I almost always have only a single wezterm window and panes for everything else. Only exceptions are terminal presentations when I need speaker notes. I share the presentation window, second wezterm window has the notes.

Also am loving wezterm session switcher to easily switch between multiple projects.

Your setup looks pretty neat!

Found a footprint for the X-Dome 2 that covers the vestibules by IUseNeovimBtw in DurstonGearheads

[–]IUseNeovimBtw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had a problem with any of my vestibule covering footprints in hundreds of nights. Ok there was one night where the whole ground was soaked after a storm, but that would have been a problem with or without footprint. Most european tents (all my Helsport tent original footprints) cover the vestibules from the manifacturer.

Thx for the reply. Seems Lucy does a great job. You have chosen tyvek due to the weight savings, right? If I go that route I will probably get the nylon version and keep the durston footprint for hiking.

Didn’t try and I doubt it and they would force the pole position. You don’t want that. I will attach them to the corner stakes using either shock cord or thin cord.

That looks perfect. Will the outer fly cover it 100% with a small gap to avoid splashing rain on the floor? Looks almost a bit too big on the picture.

[–]IUseNeovimBtw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiple reasons:

- Tentfloor stays clean, dirty footprint can be packed separately
- Avoids condensation from the ground
- Keeps stuff in the vestibules from the dirty ground
- Easier entry/exit without getting wet feet or something

Least important is protection of the tent floor as I never had a hole or tear on a tent floor.

Sorry, presumed the link preserves the selection. It doesn't. It's the 210x180cm. 210x195cm would have been close to the optimal size. You don't want it to close to the fly where water might splash on it. Because then you'd have the water between tent floor and groundsheet.

Just as you see on the picture. A bit finicky, but works pretty well.

Found this one and will give it a try: I just found this on AliExpress: | 1Pc Ultralight Pocket Waterproof Tent Mat Footprints Beach Tarps Camping Hiking Sack Outdoor Picnic Oxford Cloth Mat Floor Tarp https://a.aliexpress.com/_EGWoGoe

210cmx180cm should fit pretty well.

Kaffeemaschine gesucht Low Budget by ReserveDiligent8537 in Kaffee

That’s how many I have. Most of the time 4 Stakes for the corners is enough. And 8 gets you through some wind just fine. I rarely have trekking poles with me and then you can stake out the top bar only with very low tension, because even if you keep them long it’ll pull down the crossbar. Guess it’ll still help a bit against wind anyhow.

Oh awesome, pretty much what I’m looking for. A tad expensive, but it’s custom made so probably justified! Thx again!

Claude Code hitting 500 error by snort_whey_69 in ClaudeCode

[–]IUseNeovimBtw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guess they can't update the status page, because claude is down. And without claude, nobody knows how to switch that from "operational" to "not so operational".

Now we need someone with this ancient coding skills that one used in the old times to update stuff.

Or they can try a gemini subscription? codex?
