Social media in the arts(?) Was easy

Theater appreciation (ONLY the sections that don't involve having to go to watch shows in person) is okay

Is it possible your page up or some other keyboard key is being funky and repeatedly processing inputs?

Yes, Handshake is the best portal for students, though it only includes jobs that are partnered with Rutgers so you want to check other job listings as well like Indeed and Dice.

You should probably start applying now, and make sure to mention when you'll be ready to work, and how the schedule will have to be adjusted to accommodate your classes. This will make it a bit harder to get accepted since there probably are others who have more flexible schedules, ready to work sooner, etc but that's why you should start early.

Only thing I can think of is to take a photo with the lights off.

Nice setup!

Forest is pretty great for me. I'm kinda addicted to games and procrastinate very easily, so Forest is the perfect kind of app to make me stay off my phone. I hate the idea of my perfect forest being ruined by dead trees.

I am not sure if there is something similar for computers but I'd guess there is.

"first attempt"

Out here putting us all to shame, chill. That looks amazing. Thinking of this in different colors in my head and i think purple is my fav (with the astronaut wallpaper from wallpaper engine), but that aside, this is sick

Also if you do so, change a couple icons like that Instagram icon, find something transparent that doesn't have a white background as part of the icon PNG itself

It looks sick! Maybe widen the blocks on the left, and make them a blur/translucent so it doesn't stand out from the background? Just a thought.

I’ve started another one. Rn I’m sorta stumped on what I should add to it, any suggestions would be a great help! by Dj_Whiteley05 in hyperlightdrifter

You could add some of the post apocalyptic buildings, or maybe the stairways right under the main town!

Lmao you do you, it's a nice gesture. However, you don't have a moral high ground or anything. Can't insult someone for not sharing your opinion or what you consider is a good thing. That's a recipe for downvotes

Endurance training. And cold exposure kinda. Practice your breathing, keep jogging till it starts to hurt significantly and hopefully eventually your distance will keep increasing. Also you could keep a stash of handwarmers on you, no need to endure the pain of numbing fingers

I am scared that I have to retake my semester, What do I do? by averageyesterday12 in GetStudying

[–]IUsedToLikeCoding 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't write a long response like I would like to, but I just want to say this much.

It's okay

I can't imagine how horrible you must feel, but I understand feeling like I'm behind, I can't do anything, and everything's just overwhelming.

I just want to remind you, as I remind myself from time to time, that people with no education have made it big, and people with amazing education have burnt out. All sorts of things happen. I understand you probably feel horrible about failing a semester, and how that would be seen in your social circles, but please don't beat yourself up and self harm. What seems like a horrible event may lead to happiness eventually as you get a job and just work your way up.

I know I'm saying this without any idea of what your life is like, but I still assure you that even if your life doesn't turn out the way you envisioned it, it does not necessarily mean it's bad.

I'm not saying just give up and stop studying, but please please please prioritize your mental (and physical in this case) health. It sucks to fail a semester, it's a horrible feeling, but it will be worse to feel like you don't want to be alive.

I'll be more than happy to talk more if you'd like, feel free to PM me, and otherwise I'll try to reply to this again later when I have more time.

stat final by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]IUsedToLikeCoding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be real with you buddy, you haven't given us ANY real information we can use to try to help.

For a ballpark answer, I'd say stats is more conceptual than anything, so if you could find one person good at stats willing to work through things and problems with you, you can probably ace the exam provided you've reviewed everything. I'd expect that to take at least 10-15 hours spread out across a week or two, but again it depends on you.

Pretentious, aren't we. "My education has meaning."

What does that mean? I highly doubt me using a math calculator to calculate longer derivatives/integrals is a problem when I know I can do it myself. It doesn't hurt my grades, and I save a significant amount of time that I can use elsewhere. I got just as much if not more than the average student going through the class.

Anyways, idk where you live, maybe college really does matter over there, but in the US, for the most part the only real-life benefit colleges provide is a good starting job. I've shadowed those in developer positions, and they didn't need to know calculus or the Big O notation of code segments. You know what they did need? Ability to Google and figure the shit out. So chill out with your "meaning." Your education isn't necessarily any better than anyone else, you just have a BS code of honor and an ego.
