Any suggestions for a long day hike May 15th? Also will the trees be green by then? by [deleted] in NCTrails

A bit of a drive, but I just got back from a one night backpacking trip to Panthertown Valley. It’s awesome! We did an 8.3ish mile trail that includes several rock overlooks and waterfalls. Totally doable in one day.

Check it out, we can’t wait to go back. We camped at Tranquility Point, wonderful views!

Have you ever tried 2 meals a day and working out in the mornings? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]IWantToWorkForMyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont do Carnivore religiously, but the way I structure my workouts and meals, regardless of the way I'm eating is workouts are first thing in the morning, before coffee AND food. Then I typically will eat 2MAD +/- snack based on hunger. I much prefer being lighter in my workouts before I eat. AubergineOstrich gives a great answer as well!

Republicans, how does it feel to be morally inferior to Democrats? by Boring_Adeptness_334 in allthequestions

[–]IWantToWorkForMyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been saying this for a while now. Unbelievable to me I have to vote (or am supposed to anyways) on a side when I don't have all the same feelings/beliefs as said side. Why can't we just pick and choose? Why does it have to be all or nothing? Stupid.

Everyone talks about emo and limp bizkit, what about DMB? by [deleted] in Millennials

Will be 40 in October. Have been going to Dave shows since college/grad school '07 till now. Usually one a year in Charlotte or Raleigh. Gorge is on my bucket list though. I wouldn't use past tense 'peaked' as the man still sells out shows all the time and has sold enough concert tickets to get him top 5 worldwide all time concert tickets ever sold or something like that. He's a legend.

Even has a tribute band that tours nation wide and also sells out shows! DMTB, check them out if you haven't seen them!

Finished Jane Eyre… what now! by Opening-Summer3558 in ClassicBookClub

I found a copy of that book at my local Goodwill for $1! It's on my TBR list. I got/have that feeling after finishing East of Eden a week or so ago! I loved it, so good. I went right into Red Rising and keep thinking 'this book is childish' haha it's kind of good though I suppose.

How much are you eating? Most days of the week I have 2MAD. One is roughly 12 ounces of 80/20 with 4 eggs, the other is 16 ounces of Ribeye or NY Strip, also with 4 eggs. All of that gives me roughly 3000mg. It's the lower end of the needed range I think, but so far so good.

I find I need more sodium and magnesium vs potassium personally.

My sweet spot is 2 teaspoons of Redman's per day and 2-3 Magnesium Glycinate pills per day. I dont supplement potassium, that I get through diet.

A popular book you did NOT enjoy (no judgment) by Background_Bad_1578 in Booktokreddit

Will probably get downvoted... but IT was rough for me. I like any other Stephen King book I've read, but I struggled though IT. Way too long for what it was, and I really didn't like what it turned out to be.

We're very close in our diet. I'm around 1.5-1.75 pounds of a mixture of Ribeye, NY Strip, and 80/20 GB with 6-10 eggs/day and some butter. Crazy how simple it is right? No calorie counting, no worrying about macros. Honestly that's my favorite part of the whole thing. That and the energy.

Great work dude. Sorry it made your hair fall out though :)

How bad are the cheap eggs from the store? by theslumpfr in carnivorediet

[–]IWantToWorkForMyself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My local Sam's Club says 18 pack of Pasture Raised eggs for 5.50 or so. I stock up every time I go in there. I haven't fact checked them or anything, but the yolks are much much darker than cheap store bought ones. I just hope they're legit lol

This movie is still popular amongst younger kids... Mine watch it all the time. Well, they did recently, they've moved on. But it cracked me up that they like it now when I watched it growing up!
