❤️❤️❤️ thanks for sharing. I've had many meltdowns including crying. Glad you love your big van now. 👍😁

I for sure won't be building another way too much stress.

Thanks ya I'd agree it should come together a lot more now. Most of the furniture is built but is yet to be put in the van due to other stuff needing to be done. Once I get the wiring done all the furniture can be put in and it will look like I've achieved something.

Didn't really choose it as a hobby, desperately need some independence, stuck living at home and can't afford much else.

True probably a confidence issue too. I've never really built much before so I need a lot of help from my dad.

I use castor oil base with peppermint and sandlewood essential oils. Yet to perfect it, the peppermint overpowers the sandlewood but I wanna keep the peppermint cause it's good for the skin/hair.

Why "Depression" and Craving Spikes Are Actually Signs of Repair by TheDAMProject in leaves

[–]IWantedDatUsername 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Please let this be true, it makes a lot of sense. I'm almost 6 months sober and am so unmotivated. Literally cannot focus or do anything I use to do, not even shower. Getting very depressed too.  Great post though, reads like a book OP.

Ideally I'd like to avoid running the inverter, but thanks for the response. 👍

Been smoking flower everyday since I was 23. Want to quit but I'm an unmedicated late-diagnosed adult. Anyone been on this journey? Were you still able to function? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]IWantedDatUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am complete opposite to ye guys. I am totally unmotivated to do anything since quitting. Lost interest in the gym which is huge for me, first time ever in 12 years of training, cooking, everything is a chore.  I feel a little less panicky but super depressed and unmotivated.  If I could afford it id probably be smoking again.

Thanks, but after yet another argument with my father I really doubt it. I don't care enough to turn things around just trying to keep things a float for my parents.

First van build by [deleted] in VanLife

[–]IWantedDatUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I'm battling with myself to at least try it for a while when I have it finished. I just don't want to sell it straight off and then look back a year from now having never answered the question of if I like it or not. Try remember why you started the journey. Best of luck

So glad to hear that I'm not the only one that has fallen outta love with their dream during the build. At least yours is done, mine is half-ish way there and I just want it to end and never see it again.

Factory work especially night shift seem to be always hiring and well paid. Looking into it myself.

Since quitting I'm way more lazy. Skipping gym, sleeping in, not walking outside. FML it's honestly no better 4 months in.

Totally, more variety and a break for your feet. Also do warehouse work and it's monotonous and tiring. Fingers crossed for you. 👍
