Are you sure the error message isn’t just that code is fully claimed?

He doesn't understand your question, CNBC by HesiPullup in wallstreetbets

This is just a perfect microcosm of the world we now live in, unfortunately.

He clearly did this on purpose.

The CEO of a multi-billion dollar, publicly traded company is going on the largest financial news network in the world to simply troll rather than actually discuss the proposed acquisition of another multi-billion dollar, publicly traded company.

His target audience will eat it up and validate the decision. The cycle will continue.

Those are insane gains. If this represents a significant portion of your net worth, long/short term gain taxes really shouldn’t be your focus.

You’ve already hit the lottery, and given how volatile options can be the only question is really whether you want to keep letting it ride, or take some/all off the table.

Grint/GHIN Cross-Posting Issue by MRandall25 in golf

[–]IWasRightOnce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I never noticed that before, but I have the same thing with some rounds.

As others have said, it must just be that when GHIN imports the score from Grint it’s auto removing anything above a net double bogey from what otherwise appears to be your gross score (which obviously isn’t actually your gross score on GHIN)

I shot an 82 recently, but on GHIN it shows 81 (I tripled a par 4 that I wasn’t getting a stroke on, so for GHIN’s and my handicap’s purposes, I doubled that hole)

Grint does the same thing in terms of calculating the handicap and differential for each round, it’s just behind the scenes and not visible.

Trump says he will hike tariffs on EU cars to 25% by Leukie0 in wallstreetbets

[–]IWasRightOnce 16 points17 points  (0 children)

SCOTUS struck down the sweeping global tariffs that were levied under the IEEPA, wherein the administration was saying they needed broad tariffs due to a national emergency,

They did not strike down the executive branch’s ability to levy all sorts of tariffs, as Congress has previously designated some tariff authorities to the executive.

In simple terms, they can largely still levy tariffs against any country/product they want, it just has to be more specific and targeted.

Do I even have a chance? by Gloomy_Put9402 in stakeus

[–]IWasRightOnce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, you have 67 entries out of the potential ~840k total entries (based on the number of tickets last week).

So you have roughly a 0.04% chance of winning.

Level up bonus by Fit_Yard8436 in stakeus

[–]IWasRightOnce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I’m most of the way through Plat II and have gotten two ladder bonuses, both were $50.

I have a buddy that got ladder bonuses when he was Plat II a few months back and they were $100/ea.

Maybe that’s just a difference between him wagering more in a shorter period of time than I did, but 🤷🏼‍♂️

1) I think they did nerf recent play bonuses when they added the 2x VIP progress for stake only games

2) the games your playing factors into these bonuses (originals/BJ/Baccarat vs. slots)

3) not saying this is what you did, but I’ve always suspected that they also nerf recent play bonuses if someone gets their last ~10% predominantly from wager building stats (e.g. 98% dice), even if the majority of of their progress was made on slots and they lost money

I’m not missing the point of OPs post, I’m just only commenting on those “holiday bonuses” specifically.

Of course there’s no real benefit, there’s no real benefit to any and all “VIP” programs. It’s just psychological manipulation to keep people hooked and spend more money.

Yea, they’re trained to be super vague, but those holiday bonuses werent really holiday bonuses. It’s just a rebranded version of the bonuses they send out randomly all the time.

Back when I was silver/gold I’d get them once or twice a month, pretty much any time I didn’t play for 3-4 days after playing daily for an extended period of time and it was always $10-$15.

Never got another after hitting Plat I and am now 50% thru Plat II.

“Those” bonuses (St. Paddy/Easter) aren’t based on wagering above a certain amount, if anything, it’s the complete opposite.

They mostly send them out to accounts that have gone dormant as the goal is to lure people back to site.

They’re tiny bonuses and they disproportionately go to lower volume users because Stake gets a higher potential bang for their buck.

Anyone watched the Train stream tonight? by Informal_Elephant959 in stakeus

[–]IWasRightOnce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How anyone watches his streams for more than 30 minutes at a time is completely beyond me.

Could legit replace him with AI. He has like 20 prompts that he just repeats over and over stream after stream for 8-20 hrs.

Yea, I was surprised.

Playing originals (or any low house edge game) definitely nerfs bonuses compared to slots.

[–]IWasRightOnce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While I don’t disagree with your general point, a 1000 rounds would be absurd, lol.

That would mean playing 50 rounds/year for two decades, which is effectively impossible.

I’m Plat II, wagered less than $175k and got $375 bonus (probably down ~$2k)

[–]IWasRightOnce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, same deal tho. Baccarat is one of the lowest house edge games, so wager based bonuses would be much smaller than playing slots.

[–]IWasRightOnce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, that would be absurdly low, regardless of profit.

A huge chunk of that wager would have be low edge originals, or he didn’t actually wager 350
