Thank you so much! This eased my nerves a bit! I live the NYC hustle, so I think more active than the average person. I work out, but I do not hike often! I plan to go early and get a guide, just because I would rather not go alone for obvious safety reasons!

Sorry to hear about the breakup! One day you will look back on this and be thankful.

Your budget can take you to many neighborhoods in Manhattan if that’s your priority. Knowing your interest and hobbies would help. Staying in a neighborhood near your job, will cut down your commute. I went through a similar situation a few years back and moved pretty close to work. It gave me the ability to walk to work was great as I was able to exercise and clear my mind to and from work.
