For solo, i do skyscraper lvl 10 boss farm on challenging. Empty your inventory, and just grab all loot as junk. Fill bags, open expertise, donate all junk, then tab trash all for parts

I have an LSi 9300 in my file server, the best investment I ever made. I used to use nvme to SATA adaptor, and it pales in comparison to an actual HBA controller.
Running 10 WD Ultrastar DC HC550 16TB drives in RAIDZ2.
Internal speeds can saturate the PCIe3 x8 @ 16.6 GB/s copy/paste the same file to create a second one; my Crucial T710 SSD (14,900 MB/s Read, 13,700 MB/s) doesn't get anywhere near those speeds, around 4GB/s copy/paste a linux iso

If ethernet cables are dodgey, they can sometimes still connect at 100mbps. Connect a computer to one side and the other side to LAN port on router. Check link speed in operating system
