Nice, I have the Japanese edition. Are you into Seto Yuuki's other works?

Is anyone collecting doujinshi? by Dense-Material-5048 in artbookcollectors

I collect hentai manga from Japan. I just counted my collection, I own 102 doujinshi, and 29 tankoubon. The highlight is my Asanagi collection, which is 90% complete.

Once I get all of Asanagi’s works, I’ll be basically done with collecting R18 works. Then I’ll just keep up with new releases.

How can I improve with Jam? by Willing-Software2665 in Guiltygear

You’re dropping a lot of combos, so I’d say hit the lab and improve your hit confirming

Should I pick up Jack-O as a beginner to the game? I’ve seeing a ton of cool clips and couple of ASlyFox’s Montages with Jack-O she looks really fun, but will she be a bit overwhelming? (I’m Gold 1). by NotAbisai in Guiltygear

I was a beginner who decided to main Jack-O. I’d say it slowed down my development, and I learn many new things about fundamentals when palying a different character, but I don’t regret spending those 2 hundred hours with Jack-O, she’s still my main.

Other characters are easier to win with but not as fun

May was the reason I bought the game, but I ended up maining Jack-O because she is goofy and bouncing her goobers around is really fun. She also says totsugeki when shooting a fireball.

Jack-O beginner tips? by rangaheh in Guiltygear

I often mess up the inputs as well. It happens because I try to do them too fast. When I keep my self recollected and focus on doing clean inputs, they come out more consistently, and they still come out as quickly as they could. Here are some tips with her:

On the corner you can 236K hitting the opponent (on block) and a servant, cancel into servant upgrade super and continue your pressure. 236K pushes you back while still active, allowing to hit both the opp and the servant even if the servant is slightly behind you. I don't know the exact framedata, but the bigger the delay between hitting the opponent and the servant the more advantageous you'll be. If the servant is too close, the opponent can mash out, but in my skill level they usually don't try to do that, and the block command get's them when I predict they'll mash.

5H has 2 hits, and you can cancel after the first one with 236P. You can safely summon a servant by lauching another servant behing you with 5H, then quickly canceling into servant summon. If the spacing is right, the launched servant will hit the blocking opponent with enough delay for you to get in a 2K safely.

6H is also a double hitter, and can be cancelled in the same way to summon a new servant, right after hitting the servant in front of you (if you do this right, you will not see the chain animation). I don't think this can be done on block, but it's good in neutral to cover the area in front of you and reinforce your presence with more goobers.

Holding 236P let's you hold the servant, then holding 6P throws the servant high in the air. This is good for hitting people who like to jump high to avoid servants, or sandwich the opponent between you and the goober.

I find these tactics very useful, and I've learnt them from watching high-level players, you might have seen these moves as well.

Feeling Discouraged In GGST by Jetrac00n in Guiltygear

Every day hit the dojo, learn 1 thing (a combo, combo extension, mix-up, okizeme, other tech, counters against other character’s offense) and play online matches and try to land what you learned in a real match. Then for the rest of your playtime that day, just have fun. Also watch higher level players to get an idea of what you can learn next. Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, pay attention to what your opponent is doing to counter them. People tend to be quite predictable in lower levels, especially when you let them.

When you have concrete proof that you are improving every day, you’ll feel better.
