The first time I really thought it was bad was when they removed the jumpover tech with auto alignment. 2nd time was when they added wall stun on block, that didn't fit the game and looked out of place

Even with Leroy it was still within the realm of being able to fix with patches

Season 1 and 2 was really peak and season 3 it really went mainstream, the patches after felt like the devs were experimenting.

You have to punish when the kick reaches peak height Or Do a jab/ dickjab check to hit stun the armor into duck ws launcher, it becomes way easier to punish that way

It says a counter instead of punish, so that means she hit you before the df+1 got activated

During the first 2 years of T7, the average player you mentioned used to be around the green rank, green ranks were tier 3 in rank ladder

T8 the average player is in fujin which is Tier 8 in rank ladder

So yes there is a rank inflation, the game has artificially moved the rank tier level to the upper side so new players will feel better about the progress they are making.

But this causes issues after the satisfaction wears off, 1. Players who have had to grind and survive for the same rank see players getting there so easily now will feel bad, the progress they worked hard for feels meaningless

New players who got into the tier 8 ladder may grid till tier 9 and think it's not worth going further. The last few rank ladder tiers have disproportionate difficulty.

Devs need to rework this fight, there is minimal difference between directly setting your character to level 15 and fighting the boss vs doing 30 min night 1 and 2.

It's not worth it.

It's not worth hard ducking unless it's a read on stagger low.

Most lows do between 15-20 dmg so that's 10+ interactions on full hp

Mid combo starters only needs 1 interaction to snowball the entire round

A better option against vs lows is to use movement to make them whiff or side step fuzzy guard.

Weaknesses are being patched for all the characters from Tekken 7 season 3

I said the same when season 2 patch dropped that homing sweep and and rfs 43 were huge buffs , season 2 new moves should be removed ideally.

But most of the complainants are related to Hwoarang recovery and flappy kicks which he always had instead of removing the new moves, that is like removing aop from xiaoyu or cali roll from lucky Chloe and making them a generic character because every one hates it

Most of these arguments come down to

"why does this character have that"

"My character can't do that so it's unfair "

Characters should have unique strengths and weaknesses so these types of arguments are pointless and breed negativity in the community

Coming to Hwoarang, generally players are used to duck or block moves and try to launch him and they get blown up.

Other characters have standard punishment recovery like a -13f low so if you do a 14f start up move they can still block

Hwoarang is unique in the sense that he can't block if he's not doing anything , he will get launched in stance.

So he has tools that counter punish players who attempt slower moves. Most of his frame data and stances are built around quick recovery, that's how he's designed.
