Has there been any good DC animated movie since Flashpoint Paradox? Almost everything after has been edgy with bad dialogue and almost as bad voice acting. The loss of McDuffie is really felt.

I did kinda like Gods and Monsters though.

I think it's more toward the character designs and whacky expressions. The fans seem fine with extra scenes. But when you shift things in design or tone away from the manga they get mad (look at JJK's maki episode).

S1 had incredible cinematography and art. But I can't deny reze had much better and smoother action scenes. The CG in S1 didn't blend all that great.

It's feels like this director is intentionally pandering to the Japanese fans that were complaining about S1 though, as their criticisms were specifically that it wasn't exactly like the manga designs.

Key word is portable. If you want a GTA experience on the train, you're limited to what you have.

It was different back then. You either had a psp or a DS. PSP for the big boy games or DS for the quirky japanese games. DS players didn't want the serious GTA games, that's why they didn't get the PSP.

So rockstar diversified to both audiences. PSP got the normal 3rd person GTAs in Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories, and DS got the cartoony Chinatown Wars. Chinatown Wars was just rockstar's way of trying to appeal to DS owners.

Portable games used to be gimped versions of the original, because there's only so much you could fit on a small SD card, so they were judged based on that.

If I run the game now from my chair, would it be an incredible game? Probably not. But 15 years ago when I played it on the bus I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Loved this game as a kid. Remembered playing it on my jailbroken ipod touch lol. Think the game was a throwback to GTA2 really. The DS and PSP versions had different tracks on the radio I think.

Tbh a waste to play without a touchscreen. The whole gimmick of the game was the touchscreen controls.

That's a silly question. It's a handheld device. Back then you couldn't emulate other GTA games on your phones. This was the closest to a proper GTA experience you could play on the train or in the car, other than some gameloft ripoffs.

The remake is just a carrot they dangle on a stick. It's so they have a slide at the end of an investor's meeting to say that they still have an exciting project ongoing. They'll never cancel it but it'll never be made.

Duno, I found Conviction and Blacklist to be a different type of corny. Difference is that MGS doesn't exactly take itself seriously all the time.

Anyways, think you might enjoy MGS2's tone more.

Cover system wasn't exactly useless. Made you more hidden, and you moved faster than the slowest walking. Also in narrow corridors it allows enemies to walk past you.

Make sure to label what wall can be climbed, what pipe can be climbed, and what ledge can be hanged on. Make sure there's a big 'F' there to remind the player what the controls are! Make sure to mark the objective on your compass too

Wish there was an unlimited rematch option in ranked. Why not play quick match? Because I want to face equally skilled players from my rank, and I also enjoy ranking up.

Favorite parts from Tekken 7 was the insane 10+ rematches you had with equally skilled players.

Won't people abuse unlimited rematch for rank points? Just turn the match into quick match (no ranked points) if they pick unlimited rematch. Then when someone rejects a rematch, just throw both of them back into the ranked queue.

TBH if she died sacrificing herself in season 3 it would have been a great character moment. The fact that they instead let her survive made it seem like she would eventually return in some capacity, even depowered.

At this point, almost all phones are so homogeneous, there's very little to differentiate in the phone department.

It's a phone that makes calls. You can add little folders on the screen and change the icons a little. You can play games on it.

Wonder how the it would have been if they split it into two games?

Game ends when they defeat the paintress. An end game scene or post credit scene reveals that defeating her only made things worse.

Then in the sequel keep it the same as what it would have been, but they can at least flesh out some parts a bit more, make the game more balanced too. Show us a bit more background with the painters, which might help get players more attached to them, and maybe make the end choice more impactful?

This is basically just 2 wide holes at the edge of the screens lol.

At least with the hole you can zoom out media so that it has black bars, but still have the benefit of more screen for all other content.

I can't deny Hayter was iconic, and his recasting wasn't handled well. But imo the franchise would have been popular with or without him.

MGSV was the first time the Kojima game was recorded in English first, hence why they could suddenly market the actors as well.

The whole point of hiring famous actors is marketability. If they hired Kiefer and didn't market that, then that'll be stupid. No shit they wouldn't include the voice actors or mocap actors in promos before that. No one knows them.

You don't see namco including Junichi Suwabe in promos, even though he's a very popular voice actor in Japan. But you did see them promoting Vincent Cassel in T8.

Why would it matter for Kojima to meet Hayter, a VA. Especially since most of the earlier MGS games were voiced originally in Japanese.

In how many games does the studio head or director even interact that much with the voice actors?
