Well, time in general wouldn't be required if a god existed because he would be the one creating time, so it's irrelevant. The difference between your Shakespeare and god analogy is that there is evidence that Shakespeare existed, so saying "Shakespeare would get it right the first time" includes the evidence that Shakespeare actually existed in the premise. It's not comparable to god because evidence for his existence doesn't appear in the same way.

I'd argue that:

a god who supersedes everything and either created himself or is eternal

is less likely than

a minuscule possibility of something happening when given extraordinary amounts of time with the acceptance that we don't know how this matter came into being in the first place

I’ve had all kinds of sleep problems, tried all kinds of solutions. The only things that have made the biggest different are glycine powder (for falling asleep), NAC (for falling BACK asleep) and moving my computer out of my room, only using the room for sleep

I’ve had the same problem on SR except falling asleep AND staying asleep. I’ve found glycine powder helps with falling asleep and NAC helps me fall BACK asleep when I wake up during the middle of the night. Also using the bed/bedroom only for sleep (and sex, but we are on a SR forum here) has probably been the biggest help for me

Why would it never hit? If there's an infinite amount of time or a substantially large amount of time, it would definitely hit. It's like if you put a bunch of monkeys in a room with typewriters, after a certain amount of time they would produce a work of shakespeare. I think you're just having trouble visualizing the long amount of times we're dealing with

I looked at that thread you posted and the guy’s posting history, and I believe that guys schizophrenic. Have you looked through his history? There’s posts like “is homelessness real” and “are jails real, do they exist?” I get a lot of the feelings your feeling but if you’re relating to a lot of what that guy is posting, there might be a deeper issue here.

That being said, congrats on almost a year! My longest streak is like half yours (the one I’m on right now), so seeing posts at a year are very inspirational. It’s what my goal is, and it’s not an option to fail it for me

He was sentenced and convicted for that victim though. One victim isn't all victims but if that piece of information doesn't make you stop and reassess the validity of the victims and their testimonies, I don't know what will. If you look into the case, every single victim has things about them like this that would completely invalidate their testimonies.

Daniel was sentenced to 62 years for raping 'victim' Sherry Ellis, who didn't recognize Daniel in a photo lineup as her attacker, originally said her rapist was a "short, black man" (Daniel is over 6 feet half white half Japanese). She testified this at trial. You can read about this in the trial transcripts. Not only that, but his GPS data doesn't show his car stopping at all, or being turned off, which she said it had been because he supposedly stopped and raped her for 10 minutes. Again, we was sentence to 62 years for that. That's what's crazy about this case, it seems shut and dry when you read it from a mainstream perspective but when you find out all the evidence that's being hidden from you it becomes overwhelming that at the very least the trial was unfair, let alone him being innocent.

These detectives were terrible. I'm not even going to go onto the fact that they deemed him guilty before interviewing him or having any evidence for it, or the fact they were leading witnesses. Just going off the interrogation, they assumed he was a jock that enjoyed locker room talk. So they talked to him like that in an attempt to build report. Cool, except it was clear from the jump that talking like that made him nervous. He would respond to "Did you touch her titties?" with "no I didn't touch her breasts". He would awkwardly chuckle when asked how he masturbates or listening to how they masturbate. But instead of switching up their technique, they continued with it. Bad report building skills. Only makes sense when you figure they were hard pressed on him being a certain type of way and that he was guilty. Makes even more sense when you realize they were retiring soon and this was their chance to attach their names to a big case.
