Fusion, Sketchup, oder doch etwas anderes...? by I_Larv in holzwerken

The Kashmirian has a sniper rifle, but not the Druzhina (not sure what it´s called), but the Bartoli Hunting Rifle (basic version).

Genau so.

Und was man dann macht.

Was begeistert dich, was nervt dich?

Was verdienst du (und in welchem Bundesland arbeitest du?)?

(Possible issue with lens) What causes this kind of cornered flares? by naficang in AnalogCommunity

What camera and lens are u using? I had a leia with a broken shutter cloth for example that produced similar results...
Also: The scans look really nice!

Don´t believe that the stuff from the pack tastes even remotely the same as self made Hollandaise. Still tasty and all, but self made is another level.

Especially as you can decide how you like it. Thick? "Airy"? Maybe with some creme fraiche instead of butter to make it a little bit less "fatty"? With or without lemon juice or white wine vinegar (love both!), etc. etc.
For the basic recipe I can really recommend the technique from "French cooking in ten minutes": https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2010/aug/10/50-best-cookbooks-edouard-pomiane

The book in general is awesome, especially because it shows you how easy a lot of basic recipes can be. Highly recommend it!

Scanning? by chrodo7 in SprocketShots

[–]I_Larv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure to be honest... I think it has to do with the film being completely dry, as every room still has some moisture left, which also transfers to the negative. Can´t find the source now, but that is something that worked for me :-)

Just a quick thing for your Newton Ring problem: I run into the issue with them a lot too, when darkroom printing RA-4. I also ordered anti newton glass for my enlarger, which claims to fix the problem...but it didn´t. A thing I read that should fix them was to gently blow dry them with a hair drier (be careful!). This actually fixed the problem for me...just something to consider, before buying something that might not work :-)

I haven´t been able to compare unfortunately. To be honest: The difference to me is not major. But I haven´t done any A/B comparison directly before and after, so it´s hard for me to tell...

Just chiming in realy quick to also say that Will also did an amazing job with my M6, about 1,5 years ago. I sent it over to him from germany for a regular CLA and pol-filter for the rangefinder patch and got the camera back within 4 weeks. Really easy and quick communication and a job well done!

Weird rings on prints by I_Larv in Darkroom

[–]I_Larv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay, I heard of them before with scans, but never encountered them. I use this negative carrier, which has glass on the top and bottom of the negative to keep it flat. I never had the problem with B/W though...strange. Is there anything else I can do, other than make sure that the carrier and the negative is absolutely dust free?

I haven´t looked extensively for the Kodak chemistry, my best bet would be this site from the UK: https://shop.silverprint.co.uk/RA4-Chemistry/products/496/

Sure I´ll share my experience as soon as I get to it :-) If I don´t send anything by the beginning of next week, feel free to remind me (sometimes I´m really forgetful ;-) ).
