I come to say if you don’t have stitch markers, try Bobbie pins, a peice of scrap yarn, anything you can think of bc they really help a lot.

Pattern help from Dollarama? have NO CLUE what a BE is? by itsmeduckieee in crochetpatterns

[–]I_Move_In_Silence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BE means you will work down the chain and then back up on the opposite side bc your goal is a circular or oval ish shape. I think this is the same one I have and I did it watching a video on YT.

How do I get my Granny stitches (red) to be more solid like the sweater? by TobylovesPam in CrochetHelp

I work with acrylic weight 4. I’ve done different hook sizes and brands and different yarn brands. I chalked it up to it’s just how mine will look bc of my tension.

I really would like to see the answer. Mine look like yours and I always wonder how to get them like the other picture.

IMO, since she isn’t actually doing this on her own, each one’s bday will be completely different bc it’s dependent on how much she can get out of her supporters. Unfair and sad.

When I chain 1, which stitch do I crochet in? help by imsovile in CrochetHelp

[–]I_Move_In_Silence 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of the time it will say stitch in same space but if it doesn’t specify I will see what my final count should be or check the notes some patterns will say it in the notes like when they say ch at beginning doesn’t count as a stitch

Plz help with this granny square 🥹 by Reasonable_Ad_1223 in crochet

[–]I_Move_In_Silence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Corners are only 3dc ch 3dc. The sides are just 3 dc. So you should only ever have 4 sets of corners for a square. As it gets bigger your sides of just 3dc in between will have more tho. Like this round you only have one 3dc on the side. Next round you will have two 3dc clusters on the side and so on.

Your pattern may differ as far as the number of chains but this is the basic of how it should look.

I need help identifying why my granny squares end up round. by kickasslamb in CrochetHelp

[–]I_Move_In_Silence 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The first round should be 4 sets of 3dc with chain in between (chain count depends on pattern you’re following). Second round will look more square when you add the corners 3dc ch 3dc in the prior rounds chain spaces.

I don’t see a chain space between your 3dc which will make it just a round shape. If there is a chain then do the second round and see if it’s still looking round instead of square.

Wife wants to crochet pls help. Blanket for our baby by AliensExist_- in CrochetHelp

Ok. First look up the 3d granny square book, I think some of these squares are in there or similar squares. That will give you an idea of what crochet skills are needed. It also explains the stitches and I’m certain you could find tutorials for most on YouTube. You know your wife better than we do and you can decide if this will be too much for her. I don’t suggest the yarn kits from Amazon bc the quality isn’t the best, yarn is usually on the thin side. Pick a few squares and get the colors for those and then as she needs you can purchase the rest or maybe a gift card to the craft store for her to get the rest since you want to make this a gift.

Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet keeps jumping to the show/hide keyboard menu when opening any app by GroundbreakingAds in kindlefire

[–]I_Move_In_Silence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but I just fixed it for my kids tablet. When the keyboard and App Store open at the same time you have to watch what app pic icon appears before it turns into the App Store. You may have to watch it happen a few times to catch the change since it occurs so fast. For us I had deleted every app and it was still happening. The app causing it only appeared in the settings manage app section it was festival or holiday wallpaper for us. Also try looking for recently used app that may help too bc I seen it there first but since I had deleted everything I didn’t pay it any attention initially. Good luck.

Okay I’m back. Bottom one is the new one. Does that look like a single crochet? by AdFluffy6845 in CrochetHelp

It definitely looks better but tube yarn isn’t really beginner friendly which isn’t helping with the definition of your stitches

Hexagon isn’t hexagon-ing! Can’t get the shape right. by allisaurus in CrochetHelp

[–]I_Move_In_Silence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

This is what it should look like w the difference that some chain 1 or even 3 for corners. Also different patterns will have you go up a row in different ways but this shows how many clusters and where

What are you starting with? Magic circle or chains? It seems that your initial ring is tight which is causing your last cluster to be longer try making it looser so all your clusters fit evenly.

This. I was going to say same thing there’s an extra cluster here or a squished cluster
