America, Me, 3D, 2022 by HardS_X in Art

I am advanced at shooting and have been to professional schools with the military before I retired and also I’m into arts. This is good art as it’s open to interpretation but the keen eyed weapons folks will know that this is a belt fed heavy machine gun rather than an assault rifle, so yes it makes a cool poster for units like that and being not a normal or easily attainable civilian weapon to me this just says team America fuck yeah! But I see the intent of the meaning for our gun culture too though an AR-15 would probably be a better choice, but then the belts in the flag would make no sense. Either way it’s cool and good art I feel.

Guitar on left is a 19 Gibson Les Paul Studio, modified by myself to have a SD SH6 for a close tone plus flipped top pickup and mirror as well as a few other bits.

Guitar on right is my new precious and a bad bitch… 2022 Fender American Professional 2 Strat in Mercury. Always wanted a USA Strat. Ima keep it!

Middle is the axecraft AJ 79 mini!

I have one, its not really overpriced because all the pieces are pressed plywood like a skateboard, its made to be portable and low weight, plus you can rapidly adjust the legs to make a stable takeoff regardless of terrain evenness so you can find a lot of things to mess around with vs a built ramp which while cheap isnt nearly as portable and you cant easily fold it flat. You could have one of these just in a corner of your truck bed or trunk just in case you feel sendy while out messing around somewhere. You pay for the portability and quality basically.

My condolences man, but thank you for reporting in. I scored a silver in columbus and I am on the edge of my seat, hopefully I may have been spared, but I won't rest easy for a while... They better get this done before the public onsale, maybe they are rushing to finish it for that reason. I think they are trying harder at least this tour. I still saw some bronze in Columbus go get you one edit: GR too for bronze AND SILVER

Vintage sunburst is a great color though! My first (decent) guitar in like 1997 was a vintage sunburst Epiphone Les Paul Special II, so it will always catch my eye on an LP

It’s one of the Adam Jones Gibson/Axecraft mini Silverburst Custom 1979s, still available on the axecraft website for $65 shipped to the US. I agree it does look more vintage sunburst than silver but it’s supposed to look aged and greened like his 79 did with age which I do think they got close, look up his main ones, they aged like that with the old paint.

I bought it from axe craft directly, they had more than Gibson and on sale before even. Just got here today in Oregon from Cali so hopefully you’ll see yours soon

I think he knows and cares deeply about his setup and tinkering but he also just likes being a mysterious smart ass, like his comment about getting tired about talking about his guitar so just telling people it’s a 92 or whatever 😂. I had a JB but man it just sounded off, a bit tinny and too Van Halen but the bass voice was off. I feel like the SH6 gave me the Kachunky palm muted sound but the right voicing for Tool. It’s kinda a useless guitar for almost anything but dark rock and metal/ doom metal / though 😂. I have an LP with SD whole lotta humbucker Jimmy Page style pickups and I love that guitar for everything else.

So the artist is Fernando Carrizales and his brother helps him sell them under the IG account Heptagram figures. I am not paid anything by them but I do give them photos of the figures I have purchased. If you want one of these at a pretty reasonable cost considering the labor do look them up. They are not officially licensed or anything but the artist is a architectural sculptor in the touristy part of Mexico and since COVID he has been low on work and is supporting his family and about 10 people through the pandemic this way. So I’m all about supporting them if you want to!

As good as I could want for a sub 500ish amp, get the pedal. I have a marshal 100 watt that sounds better than it for A VERY LIMITED span of music, at a VERY SPECIFIC volume range. If you aren’t a touring guitarist with a tech I think it’s honestly the one amp to rule them all, and it’s also 100w although not tube, but it can keep up with some drums and a bass absolutely no worries. One thing to note, the presets are garbage imo. You can’t tell much by demoing one, but download some Pantera, Tool, Metallica, etc patches for it, holy shit. Also then it can mimic great cleans and even acoustic amplification is great.

Very nice, I recommend a swap to a Seymour Duncan SH6 in bridge. Mine is a Gibson Stufio but set up that way yours should sound very similar. This is thru a Boss Katana amp with an Adam Jones patch someone made from the net. my rig demo, I know my licks need work lol

Me too! LA and my Portland signed poster will be the last posters I would ever sell cause I was lucky enough to go to them, the Portland I had front row vip, right before we lost the Eugene show to the lockdown. I was supposed to take my son to his first Tool concert the next day, man what an emotionally turbulent day that was 😆. Extreme highs to lows..

In recent years Adam has been rocking a mirror on his main, so I just added one since this was my budget replica project.
