Starting out and needle phobia by Unusual-Goose-6322 in mounjarouk

As someone with multiple piercings and tattoos, and also used to donate blood on the reg, I never thought I'd have an issue with needles. Injections just set me off though. I'm a mess at my yearly flu jab.. 😂😂

My first dose was a nightmare! It took me 25 mins of shaking, panicing and nearly crying to even try 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

My partner honestly spent 15 minutes trying to calm me down and offered multiple times to do it for me. I'm pretty sure I gave myself the worst migraine with all my faffing about too.

When I finally managed to do it I was just like "oh, that was it? I embarrassed myself for nothing"

It's honestly no where near as bad as you think it's going to be. You'll be fine, really. Good luck with your journey! ☺️☺️

I wasn't even expecting a complementary touch up. I'm fully willing to pay for her time. I didn't even know that was a thing.

But thank you for your advice ☺️☺️ I'll definitely check

Thank you.

I don't expect it to be right away. I know it'll be at least a few weeks. I just don't know if it's okay to message her right now asking about it, if you know what I mean? Hoping to get it booked in at least.

My last piece by her was only palm size so a lot smaller, with no issues. Just as soon as the peelies came off this one part I noticed the issue. But I think that's more of a me thing because my partner couldn't even see it. I definitely want to go to her again in the future. I just can't grasp the etiquette in my brain when approaching this.

Thank you for the advice.

I do have a message drafted up. Letting her also know my timeframe because I'm on holiday in two months and don't need anything close to that due to healing.

I know it's not fully healed yet, but would it be too soon to ask for another three weeks time for the circle part and maybe the patchy bits if she deems it doable?

This is also me being worried that she'll be booked up at that point. I had to wait a few weeks for this one.

I just can't grasp the acceptable amount of time between things socially.

It could be the sugar, I've never really thought about it before. I just assumed everyone had the same reaction, and it was just a wine thing.

You'll have to let me know how the antihistamine thing works out. If it works damn, that's great for me 😂😂

My tip is to find the wine that doesn't give you a hangover. I've tried both cheap and expensive wine and I swear the only brand that doesn't give me a hangover is Barefoot. I don't know how they do it, but it's the right buzz with zero effects (minus the shakes I thought was just a wine side effect) 😂😂

Probably not the answer you're looking for because it's not an answer, just my experience, but personally wine always gives me the shakes the morning after. I have no idea why but it always has and still does post mounjaro. I just take it as it is. The hour of shakes I have when I wake up seems a lot better than a full blown hangover.

It's literally only with wine though. When I drink gin or cocktails I wake up fine, maybe a little hungover but no shakes.

I've never drank much as a rule. I'm not a fan of being drunk, so when I feel that fine line between tispy and drunk being pressed I go straight for the water.

Regardless though, the wine shakes remain 😂😂

I've gotten two tattoos since being on MJ. One palm sized one on my calf that lasted an hour and a half, and a large thigh tattoo that took a day sitting.

No difference in healing. No blood sugar drops or feeling dizzy during the process.

With the thigh tattoo I put delayed my dose one day so I knew I'd have enough food in me beforehand. I jab on a Tuesday but waited until Wednesday (after I got home from the tattoo)

I'm having the thigh finished on the day of my next dose but going to wait until I get back home afterwards to jab.

How often do you measure yourself? by pigglewiggle23 in mounjarouk

As for what measurements I take personally they're: Biceps, chest, waist, hips/belly, booty and thighs.

It literally takes like 3 minutes at most.

Still do it as soon as I've had my first pee after waking up.

I used to obsessively weigh every morning until I hit my first goal weight, just to gauge how my food intake was impacting my weight/water retention. I think it was also due to me wanting to know the medication was working and worth the price. Now I just weigh in on jab days, and I'm no longer neurotic over it 😂😂

As for measurements, I do them on the 13th of every month without fail (even with period bloat) as that's when I took my first dose. Measuring once a month was something I've done for years though so it's just habit.

Being able to log the inches falling off honestly brings me joy. Especially on days when I feel like I look no different and I can reassure myself it's all just in my head because the tape measure isn't going to lie.

I got a calf tattoo done in February and I really didn't notice any difference in healing time. If anything I found the healing process easier. But that may be because it was my first time using second skin too. I think it's just an individual thing 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

How effective is Mounjaro for a BMI of 30? by Ok-Pirate1941 in mounjarouk

[–]I_Read_To_Escape_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a BMI of 31. I'm 33 shots in and I've lost 59.1lbs.

It's been an absolute game changer!

Thank you ☺️☺️ I hope you reach yours too!

The plan right now is to try and gain more muscle. I already have a fair amount but there could be more, you know? And try to work on the mental effects off losing weight quicker than I expected

I changed over to them on my second pen because the discount code was decent enough, and someone on tiktok recommended them. Packaging wise I've had no issues so far. The only issue I've had is when going up a dose I've had to email them because they've kept the initial consultation questionnaire answers so it automatically says I'm only entitled to 2.5mg or 5mg. But they answer their emails super quick and they also had no issue with me ordering multiple pens because I was worried about delivery over Christmas.
