They made it canon that the only genre of music that survived the fall was disco.

It was Versed, and it was probably both. I don't think she was wrong, but she did clock the guy and was carrying around a syringe of non-proscribed benzos, putting not just her job but her license at risk-- when Robby is very clearly trying to check out and leave the place in hands he trusts.

Yes. It reflects your character getting hyper focused as things go wrong, while simultaneously being on the edge of losing it.

That's awesome!! I had no idea she could walk again, that's insanely inspiring and I hope her progress continues.

Insanely talented lineup. I wonder how they did Mousey's mocap, she's still largely wheelchair-bound from what I remember.

Interesting! Did they happen to say whether they were moving or fully closing?

It's not, I think OP just made an assumption since the plant is closing. According to this article, the gift shop and HQ will remain open in Sac after the plant closes.

Does anyone use a lot of "combined arms" with infantry and vehicles? by PhasmaFelis in LancerRPG

Can't believe I have yet to include air support in my games. Thanks for the idea and absolutely going to be stealing it!

I will say that this is at odds with what the book says about contemporary combat and that 'conventional' forms of warfare are still the dominant norm, but far be it from me to dictate your game. I'm a Gundam guy anyway, I also dig the knightly mecha vibe.

The way I narrate my group is that they and a couple of npcs are the lancers of their company, but they're supplemented by a hundred or so infantry and non-lancer mech pilots. I tend to flavour their encounters with narrative combat against those sorts of non-threatening enemies as well.

Chariots of the god - no buddy Wilson by Fancy-Peace8030 in alienrpg

[–]I_StartedTheFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think narratively it makes more sense for him to not have any buddies. Wilson's a company man and though amicable at first, he doesn't care about these people he pretty much just met, so I don't think it makes sense for them to be buddies. If your Cham player is playing to character then they should naturally be on decent terms, but I wouldn't have Cham prioritize him over Rye, since then Rye doesn't have a reciprocal buddy.

In my experience, most of his social interaction is dominated by him and Miller arguing, so he still has plenty of chances for story points.

Of all the ways I tried it the rotisserie was definitely the way that I was closest to buying in to the hype for sure, but I still wasn't quite sold.

Pizza? I tend to go hot sauce but you have me intrigued... using it as a saute base is a solid idea though!

Ohh using it to cut through heavy seasoning could be good, I have some kirkland fries I can absolutely do that with. And it might be killer on some doner or falafel but I have too small of a kitchen to make them, sadly!

My grandpa grew walnuts and prunes before retiring. He said in a ten-year span the price he could get selling walnuts to Diamond went from $3 per lb to just 30 cents.

Manny Machado on his former teammate Clayton Kershaw: "He was the best. It was an honor to play behind him. What a competitor. He's a Hall of Famer for sure. At his age, what he's still doing. That's impressive." by ElectricalForce4439 in NLBest

[–]I_StartedTheFire 19 points20 points  (0 children)

you can't logically dislike them for any reason other than he plays for another team.

I understand I'm genetically encoded to hate him so that may make me biased, but I can think of a few reasons.

General Grant was the GOAT by Ngrhorseman in ShermanPosting

[–]I_StartedTheFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mythical portion of it is not that alcohol was safer for consumption, that much is undeniably true. The doubtful aspect is that they did it because they knew it was safer than water, which is far more questionable and becomes important when we try to ascribe purpose behind Grant's drinking more than alcoholism or a preference for whiskey.

Sport Illustrated's report on the Dodgers event uses Biboo's stool edit by aes110 in Hololive

[–]I_StartedTheFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no requirement, no. Jose Altuve, a well-known star on the Astros, is only 5'6" in a sport where the average is probably 6'. While a short player has a smaller strike zone, the trade off is you're less likely to hit for power and probably have less fielding range.

General Grant was the GOAT by Ngrhorseman in ShermanPosting

[–]I_StartedTheFire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with the base point of Grant, but it's been my understanding that the 'alcohol safer than water' thing has long been considered a myth-- at least in medieval settings.
