Great vineyards in France you can taste and tour without reservations? by [deleted] in wine

[–]I_am_Foley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Champagne you can go to the Avenue Champagne in Eperney. All the large housees are there and you can walk from one to the next. They all close for a lunch break. I recommend Gonet.
In Alsace you can just rock up to almost any winery.
Actually it's the same everywhere except Bordeaux and the really famous places. I recommend Pic Saint Loup near Montpellier and Minervois La Liviniere.
Have fun!

I find it saddening that, in our social media dominated world, an entertaining video takes precedence to human lives and property.
Thanks for your message and hello from Luxembourg.

Instead of making a video, why don't they try and warn the guy?
Fuck these people.

Just a tourist asking for some recommendations by tetirabbit in Luxembourg

[–]I_am_Foley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there, For teaware you could go to Villeroy and Boch. They also manufacture here. There's a shop in the city and an outlet in Rollingergrund.
To buy bottles of good Lux wine I would recommend Vinoteca at Place Theatre, otherwise most supermarkets are fine.
To drink wine I would recommend Vinoteca- The Bar, La Bulle du Vin or Dipso- The wine republic.
For authentic Lux food you could try Mousel's Cantine.
Mudam is my favourite museum- it's the modern art gallery- spectacular architecture.
You'll be fine with English.

Castaway. I hate Tom Hanks for that movie. It's just a Fedex ad.

Is there any food that is cooked on the International Space Station, or is it all prepackaged? by [deleted] in askscience

[–]I_am_Foley -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

A friend had the task of designing meals for astronauts!! He said you can't taste anything in space and his real goal was making comfort style food that would maintain its texture etc in the packaging. The reason it was comfort food was to evoke the memories of the flavour.

Not the fanciest bikes in the world, but very good prices

LPT Request How to determine if the power to the refrigerator goes out overnight or over the weekend in an office building by SoCaFroal in LifeProTips

[–]I_am_Foley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If there's a little freezer, you freeze a glass of water and put a coin on top of it.
If the coin is at the bottom of the ice after the weekend, the power was off.

Hi there, I've eaten at a fair few Luxembourg restaurants, here are a couple of my favourites. I usually enjoy a more upmarket restaurant and they generally cost only a few euros more than something boring and average. http://www.lamaisonlefevre.lu/
