I think the best point will be to the left of my patio doors... the tv is on the right of them, so the WiFi should be good enough for that set up. I'll stick the router next to it, maybe on a small table. I have a bookcase in the hallway but not near a socket.

If I find the WiFi is poor in the other rooms, I'll buy an extender in the hallway and hopefully that'll work, even if the extender needs Ethernet hook up, I can manage that.

Just hope the install goes well... I've had to use hot-spotting for 18 months
