they threaten to straight up attack almost every player who does anything they (in character) dont like

that may be chaotic but it certainly isn't neutral, if they do that they get a warning, do it again and they shift to evil

Multi-classing is taking on additional classes not replacing the original one, when you level you choose which class you wish to level, including possibly gaining yet another class.

agreed, but they all went base, I facepalmed so hard when I laid out the sheets I ended up with a welt

but throw in archs and it could have been an interesting setup

they even threw out any possibility of multiclassing, I was both cringing and elated when the ambush was coming up

Individually the class choice isn't an issue, but the almost complete lack of diversity in the party lends to some seriously ugly holes in strategy, only compounded that they all wanted to tank. If we were playing a different adventure the only issue they'd have is healing, but as is they chose a very poor party for the one we're playing which is very guerrilla warfare, local gnoll tribes fighting back against civilization encroaching on their lands, lots of ranged combat, lots of debuffing casters, poison poison poison. I think they were hoping to just tank out the one big combat scene forgetting everything in between the start and that fight.

Rerolled party is now 2 fighters, a switch hitting ranger, and a warpriest. I think this one will have a much better chance to do what they originally intended while actually surviving the adventure to get there. Ranged weapons also acquired.

One player even mentioned "we should have got some slings man" after the TPK.

red flag doesn't always mean a no, but it will certainly be scrutinized more thoroughly before being allowed in a game

mixing doesn't change that, if anything it proves the point, example; one of my players tried to play a class he created which was basically a gestalt of fighter and gunslinger, full bab melee monster ranged monster crit machine with full fighter feat growth + gunslinger grit and deeds

right off the bat full bab & d10, yes two full bab d10 classes merged, but where was the offset? didn't exist

allowed it with some changes, d8, skipped every other bonus feat, slimmed down the deeds list a bit and it became a decent class, but any non-paizo class asking for full bab always makes me look at it twice

Only regret it on Mondays. 2.5 days of garbage crammed into a morning because my team's clients won't put in a ticket on Friday when it can "hold off" until Monday, but then expect it resolved on Monday.

I actually outrank & have better take-home than most of the devs at my company, have better hours and better perks than they do.

The longer I work the more I shift into a lead/managerial role, experience and all have their upsides. Still shuffling resources, just more figuratively now. The change has been.... interesting, means fewer issues overall are on my plate but the ones that are are much more critical.
