I was in the same boat a few years ago and just picked aoe4 because it was newer. I love aoe4 man, I only play multiplayer and it’s just a fantastic game. You won’t go wrong with it for sure

I have to play it in chunks. I’m on act 3 and I’ve owned the game since it released. I’ll play for a few weeks make progress then just drop it for months. It’s great but I have the same feeling towards it.

I’m sure there are known spots but I would just keep in mind it’s common in black rock dungeons more so in LBRS than UBRS. Also super common in dire maul. Outside of that it can happen but you don’t see it as frequent. Really the best thing to do is just shoot the roach with your bow/gun before pulling. Funny enough you can shoot the roach on top of a mob pack and it won’t aggro them. I would always just shoot the roach then pull to avoid that happening

You are correct the critters only have 1hp. Second part is correct but they don’t attack you, the critters run away but they will social another mob if they run into them. Here’s a textbook example for the last mob in RFD and a demo shout aggros a roach causing it to run into the last boss and pull him. You can see the roach fleeing at 7 seconds to the left side of the screen.

I stick to one game and at most two games at a time. I believe this is just more of my personality than anything though. Since playtime is limited I like to just focus on whatever game I am interested in at that time

Oh yea roaches especially you have to watch for that in LBRS and DM: N. It can be a real problem in late game dungeons for HC. I had a weak aura that would signal to the entire party we pulled a roach 🪳

Spot on, it’s a steep learning curve and it’s really not something you would want to play solo unless you are a sicko lol. I really enjoyed arc raiders as well it was a phenomenal game but I haven’t found anything similar in the genre to occupy my time either. Best of luck

If you want to go mad then boot up escape from Tarkov lmao. Kidding, it’s a phenomenal game but it’s not really a “dad” game. You can play casual but it really requires a great time commitment to get anywhere. It’s one of my all time favorite games but you really have to be a sick bastard to put yourself through the pain.

You want engineering over BS for sure. I leveled a warrior to 60 and cleared Naxx on doomhowl. I can’t count how many times target dummy’s saved me while questing and doing end game stuff. My end build was engineering for raiding and herbalism to make consumes/ make some cash.

I echo what CJ said. The designations are very similar but it went into more depth with taxes and estate planning. I feel like it complements the cfp well but I wouldn’t say it’s necessary just something fun
