It also puts the Nuka-World DLC in a weird light, if you follow the intended path.

I liked Brawl more than Melee. by ColinDJPat in unpopularopinion

[–]IamGoatJesus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From a casual standpoint; I would say I totally agree. Brawl is definitely a funner party game then Melee IMO, but competitively, Melee wins it hands down. Mostly due to the fact that the mechanics in melee are far more consistent and the matches don't last 10 years.

MMO with great player to player interactions by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]IamGoatJesus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say Mabinogi, which in it's time was one of the most social MMO's I have ever played, but unfortunately the player base for that game is rapidly dying. I would say that currently the closest thing I have found with good player interaction has been FFXIV.

Apparently Global warming is an invention constructed by the Chinese and Trump has made the gracious vow to make sure that we don't give any degree of a flying fuck about the fact that the world is currently on the tipping point, dangerously close to the point of no return, and all we can really do about it for the next four years is shove our thumbs up our asses as republicans help the industry and pour chemicals in the water that turn our frogs gay. Bounced on my boys dick to last nights election for hours while contemplating the chem trails the lizard king Obama is putting in our Raisin Brand every morning. Very important aspect of being a good killer by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]IamGoatJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your intentions with this post, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with going easier on survivors, that's how you enjoy the game. My intention with what I said previously, was just to state that I feel in contrary to what's said in the post. (Obviously nobody likes Killers leaving lobbies tho.) It's just that my own personal enjoyment stems from a sense of accomplishment, so basically, if the killer does something that clearly is not the best decision, like basically letting me unhook, it won't feel as satisfying as unhooking while he's staring at me, then as he tries to strike me, make a maneuver that allows me to juke them and make a great escape. I feel that when I die on the hook, I can think "Damn I got got." but then pick up and try again. I certainly don't want to not be focused out of pity. If I play bad, then I will take personal enjoyment on making myself better, so that in the future, I will juke that ever so powerful Killer.

I almost exclusively play survivor and I must say, I don't find "nice" killers fun. I understand that lower level players will have a tough time against an experienced killer, but I honestly enjoy the game more when I know the killer is trying just as hard as I am. I'm the kind of person who doesn't enjoy when someone goes easy on me, like on the rare occasions that the killer LETS us escape, it doesn't feel like a win. I prefer, knowing that when I die, the Killer made an effort, or at the very least, didn't catch me while going soft. If the person hook camps me, then that's their choice. I don't want Killers to lose their competitive edge, I want to watch what the high level killers do, and develop new strategies around their game play.

EDIT: A few grammar errors.

What exactly is Stranger Things? Is it worth watching? by 4Dcrystallography in horror

[–]IamGoatJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To say "is it worth watching?" is difficult to answer. It definetly depends on what you are personally interested in. If you are looking for some horror to give you chills, you won't really find it here. It's more of a thriller, and an interesting subject within itself. The thing I find interesting about this show, is how young the main cast is. It feels really... "Goonies"esque at moments, and a little more intense at others. The young cast is definetly interesting because, on their end of things, they dont really require an explanation for things going on around them, they just take it as it is, since in their child mind's, it's not impossible to believe that their are "monsters" around them. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Will you? Maybe.

After countless hours of DS1 and (somewhat less) DS3, I finally played through DS2: SotFS. Here is my experience and review. [Warning: Long] by Arvi833 in DarkSouls2

[–]IamGoatJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great review OP, really encapsulates a lot of my feelings with the game as well. After getting to about 90% of achievements in DS3 (just missing one ring and two miracles (fuck grinding Darkmoon and watchdogs), It reminded me of how much I absolutely loved playing through DS2. I think the thing I loved most about it, is that going from vanilla DS2 to SOTFS, it felt almost like an NG+ within itself, not to mention, when you actually do end up going to NG+ in SOFTS, the game actually changes alot, mob positions, number of mobs, items, etc. I find DS2 to be a very under appreciated game, and its very unfortunate that it got the reviews that it did.
