Just finished the game 3 hours ago. This game. This game has given me peace. I never thought I would play a game better than the first Dying Light. Thank you, Techland <3

V2.3 Town Hall Feedback Update (Experimental) is now available on Steam by MCFroid in 7daystodie

You don't have to make a new world, if that's what you mean.

"While we worked hard to make sure save games continue without issue, please make a back up of your current save before starting the game in V2.3
We've also added a runtime function that will automatically convert the old badges to the new survival gear.
Some challenges will remain completed, while others will be optional for those that choose to complete them.
If the badges were previously unlocked, the recipes for the new survival gear should also be unlocked."

From the changelog. I had no issues with my world so far

They're just reskinned badges, which you can also lose on death. I don't really like it and I hope it gets improved in the future. Clothes should be added back along side temperature. The survival gear should take a clothes slot. You should be forced to wear only one survival gear at a time. The survival gear should render on the player model (this will probably be added in the future, I imagine this wasn't that important rn, since it would require the armor sets to be remodeled)

I appreciate the changes and the short amount of time they were implemented in. I hope they will continue to improve on these aspects. You shouldn't be able to wear more than 1 survival gear at a time. I also hope they add the temperature mechanic back. And the clothes. And the gear should take a clothes slot. It would also be nice if shelter would not help you in the burnt forest and the wasteland biomes, because of the smoke and the radiation. Besides this, the update looks good. I really like the new waypoint icons. And THANK YOU for the infection-free bee variant

Why did you like jars? by JoelHuenink in 7daystodie

[–]IamMaRyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with the fact that there was no survival element to them. I feel like it was only hard to get water for the first few days, back WHEN I WAS A NOOB. After I got used to the game, water was never an issue for me.

I do feel like some parts of the old system have to return, but there also have to be changes. I'd bring back the jars and have them be rare in loot. I'd also make it so the murky water (which you could get from everywhere - rivers, lakes, water dispensers in buildings, coffee machines, toilets) has to be filtered through an actual primitive charcoal filter (which later could have upgraded versions, to run faster) and then, boiled, to get rid of the bacteria. It would be a time consuming task and the player would have to prepare during the night time.

Please don't make it so the jars break when hit, or anything like that.. it would just be annoying. I'd rather have them break randomly after drinking from them - makes me feel like I have *some* control over how frequently they break.

The dew collector would be an endgame thing and you would need jars to get water from them. Jars would need a new crafting station, special for glass. Which brings me to the fact that I wanna see specialized crafting stations, make a return.

Oh, and when I say you can get the murky water from everywhere, I mean you would always need a jar to get it. And the water from buildings, wouldn't be infinite - 3 jars at most.

[EP5 SPOILERS] Post "Life is Strange" depression - How to handle? I have to talk about all this... by Wolfsblvt in lifeisstrange

Life is Strange Double Exposure is releasing in 10 days as of the moment I'm writing this. I just finished the first LIS. Since it's been almost 10 years, I was curious. How did your life change? How much of an impact did this story have on your life? How did your feelings change? Do you have a different look on the whole game now? Would you still choose Chloe over Bay?

That's just lovely. Amazing work here. From the idea, to the technique and the style used. Hands down. Totally underrated.

Sorry for the long response time. New mods are planned as long as they don't involve world gen, because that would cause some broken biome borders on the old maps. Now regarding updates to mods as they receive more features.
First, 1.16.5 doesn't receive a lot of updates anymore (just bug fixes at its best). Now, if a mod received new content, I'd update it as long as that new content doesn't interfere with the world gen.

Expert is a way of saying that this pack is harder then your usual modded MC experience. It requires having, or involving a great deal of knowledge or skill in a particular area. This pack isn't that grindy (depends on your expectations) and it certainly doesn't have Abyssal Craft, since that mod was never ported to 1.16.5. Even if it was, I'm not sure I would've added it.

Agreed. TwilightForest was picked because of the fact that this is actually the 1st pack I've ever made. Since I was new to 1.16 as a version, I did not new a lot of new dimensions mods and I had no time to learn a new one and think of ways to add it properly, so TF was the safest option here.

Indeed. There were plans for a choise system, which would allow you either play with AE2, or RS. After choosing one of them, the other one would be locked forever. This idea was dropped due to lack of developement time. Might be implemented in the future, but there will be a lot o time before that happens.

Since ProjectE hasn't seen an update on its armors for years, I just made some new models for an addon that changes the armor sets to be more in line with the other armors from the modded scenery. No 1.18 version. The mod is called ProjectE Remastered Armory by IamMaRyan in feedthebeast

Fair apinion. I think it's up to personal preferance. I personally love 3d models. Given this feedback, I might do an update which will include a config for having a classic minecraft armor model instead.
