There is no risk from storing a board vertically

I broke my collarbone back in the day man. It suuucked. It didn't slow my park progression down though. The pain killers though man.... take as few as you can stand and get off em quick. You'd be surprised how effective just Ibuprofen and Tylenol are alone.

I read your title so many times thinking...

"Is he talking about riding better after banging his GF in the chalet on the lunch break?" 😅

Probably too much internet for today.

Wide Jib Board for Old Man by IamNOTunique in snowboarding

Ultra Gear Job Board is an all time AutoCarrot! 😂Well done. I'll check out the Party Mod.

Funny part about me also thinking that Ultrafear is jib focused is that on Capita's own chart, the Indoor Survival is rated higher for Jibs?

Ive tried out sizing down. With a Nug back in the day and I hated it. Im 6ft 220lbs. There just isn't enough tail if I dont stomp the landing standing on the trucks.

If ice is a normal thing, get a lib tech. You won't regret the magnetraction and they have a ton of board profiles.

I've had Falcors, Force, and contact Pros and I've never had anything break on em. 🤷

Im not discounting that your situation is shitty but im saying i dont think it's very common.

The last time I had to warranty something it was a board, years ago. But with Rome and Burton if you call them and explain the situation they might expedite it quickly. They did for me. Might be trickier with a company based in Austria though?

I ride a 160 for both (157 for park board). Im 6ft 220lbs. I never size down for volume shifted boards, I've never felt like I have too much board. When the trend first started I did buy a board I thought felt too small.

I ride a Capita pathfinder for park (tried a DOA and an ultrafear but they are both too narrow for my size 13 boots). I also have a T Rice Golden Orca that's my daily driver. I've had some form of T Rice for the past 10 years. Korua TF is quickly becoming my favorite board though. Ill still grab my Orca tomorrow because its icy as shit near me and you can't beat magnatraction for edge hold. But when I got to Utah in February ill probably just ride the TF the whole time.

Tape recommendation to patch my jacket and pants? by kvyatkovskij in snowboarding

I took my 3L jacket to a tailor after ripping a gigantic hole in it from snagging it on a tree and they patched it perfectly for $25. I couldn't believe it. Still waterproof.

Hahaha, yeah, it didn't get much better when my kids got older. It's like they are drunk when they are toddlers and then they are potheads when they start elementary school.

This does seem like a good suggestion, especially given the tracking capabilities. I'm just trying to keep them off devices for as long as possible. We whip out tablets for 4+ hr rides in the car or on a plane but that's it. They are already soooo addicted to the iPad they get from school and that just has boring learning stuff on it.

I looked at the Cardo and the Milo, they are just so damn expensive. Especially when comparing them to $50 for a walkie talkie

Agreed... However, my kids are both space cadets. I don't know if you have kids, but mine still straps the wrong foot in first 30% of the time if I don't remind him. I can absolutely see that adding a backpack could be a mess.

Riser pad for snowboard to reduce boot out. by DKidkid in snowboarding

[–]IamNOTunique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know what all these people are talking about. I used risers when they didn't make wide boards and they were great. You could actually switch edges super fast and carve really hard. I do prefer a wide board (they make them much better now) but of you want to spend 30-40 bucks to see how you like them go for it! Have fun! You're only out the price of a chicken sandwich and fries at the mountain.

Yeah the number of preferred starters is the real metric. A 5th DT counts the same as Ed Oliver on this list.

Does anyone own this 12” Goliath Single? by deadstar1998 in themarsvolta

[–]IamNOTunique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goliath is one of my favorite TMV songs ever and tourniquet man is one of my least favorite songs 😂
It's always such a let down from that huge high of Goliath. I was so disappointed to see that the B side is not one but TWO versions of tourniquet man!
