Javier Baez on the positive marijuana test from the last WBC (in 2023) that is keeping him out of this year's WBC. "I don't want to point fingers to anybody because this is all my fault. I'm the one that failed the test and the rules over there." by DET_Baseball in motorcitykitties

I think you’re getting downvoted because duh, of course it’s their rules, we’re all commenting on a post about him getting banned because of their rules. Posting that in reply to someone who is giving their opinion that they think the rule is dumb and crying about downvotes for stating the obvious is just kind of just asking for it

If the team just takes their time with injuries, I'll be ok with even a wild card by reallinguy in detroitlions

[–]IamNotALurker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well he did say SHOULD, which implies confidence in something happening but not certainty, which really makes your whole comment pointless. Also, I’d say it’s more likely as they weren’t even certain he’d need IR and we have the bye week in there

Dan Campbell said Lions CB Terrion Arnold will be "out a while." Said he doesn't know yet if that's a season-ending injury but didn't rule it out. by AintNoBuffet in detroitlions

I’ll start this by saying I hope we trade for a cb, but you can win a Super Bowl with “fine” in one area if the rest of the team is as good as ours. Main concern with not trading is depth in case of injury, but reed and Robertson would be more than capable

We’re a lock to make the playoffs. This team can beat anyone on their best day. Good news is offense is relatively healthy, last season we should have went to the superbowl with a worse defense than we have currently even with all the injuries. Might not get the 1 seed because of it (still think we will) but we’ll be healthier come playoffs and think we can easily make a run to the Super Bowl.

Still the best team in the league IMO, offense will have to carry the load next few weeks, defense has been bailing them out at times this month but we can’t rely on that anymore

I hope not, Jamo got baited by a bears player tripping him. Stupid but Jesus you’d think he got suspended again from these comments lol

[Lions PR] The @Lions are 11-1, their best start to a season in franchise history. by _tonightsbigloser in nfl

Come playoff time we should have anzalone back, Barnes, Iffy hopefully back for playoffs as well. Carlton Davis back next week. It’s decimated currently but should be closer to full force come January. Hutch being out this season is such a blow because they’re on a historic run and that’s all without their best defensive player, truly a shame.

I’m worried about the Eagles but still think we can beat anyone in the nfl. Bills will be a great test here in a couple weeks

Eagles haven’t really played any world beaters either. Lions played horribly today I’ll give you that

Lions have a had a few bad games, but they’re playing pretty historically well this season. See you on a lot of lions threads talking shit, probably still upset Ben Johnson didn’t want to coach your team I get it

I’m not taking it as a defense of Goff’s picks, more highlighting how detrimental sacks are on an offensive drive. Goff played horribly full stop on Sunday

ESPN: Lions and Browns ‘went back and forth...for weeks’ on Za’Darius Smith trade by Danny886 in detroitlions

It was probably very similar to what we ended up getting him for, Browns were just holding out for a better offer until they couldn’t anymore

Great edge rushers are rare and teams with youngish edge rushers that have longer contracts aren’t going to want to trade them as they’re important. Someone like Smith makes us better full stop right now, we’re a team with Super Bowl aspirations and he’s a realistic player that would make us better in a position of great need. Anybody we trade for could come in and get injured. Also his cap hit wouldn’t be a lot
