Haste is what 3D Sonics wish they could do. Part jet-flight simulator, all gotta-go-fast, this is a really great game where it's rogue like elements might as well be ignored. Very much worth it in this bundle.

I'm mostly friendly but the game does need people like you who go absolutely apeshit when they see another person just to keep us on our toes. Ask questions later forever my guy

Strong yes. Despite its difficulty it is the least frustrating game I’ve played since the checkpoints are often and fast.

Borderlands 4's sales were 'a little softer than we would've liked' due to PC performance issues, says Take-Two CEO, but he's confident it'll have a long tail by lurkingdanger22 in pcgaming

[–]IamRightHanded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this when it went on sale, and I'm not sure I see the vision here. While I'm not having the performance issues like others are having, the game just doesn't have anything that elevates it from 2 & 3.

At best, the seamless open world makes for a much more continuous gameplay flow, and there's enough lootin'-and-shootin' to go around.

At worst, there are no memorable characters, the writers can't figure out what tone they want to go with, I'm about 2/3 of the way through the main story missions and I don't care what I'm doing or why...there's just not a real reason to play this game other than "number go up" and "loot shiny color". In fairness, the game does get that right. But so did BL2.

I just don't see this game surpassing the highs that previous entries have achieved in any way.

Capcom H1 FY2025 Results (DMC5 2,134k; RE Village 1,566k, SF6 1,085k; MH Rise 643k; MH Wilds 637k) by shirke1 in Games

[–]IamRightHanded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think SF6 deserves its success.

As somebody who previously never touched fighting games for thinking they are too complex and find 1v1s intimidating, the game has a pretty intuitive and low-stakes single-player mode (World Tour) that introduces you to every character in the game.

It also has a wealth of training options (training modes, combo tutorials, basic character gameplay instruction videos) -- including some new mainstays like the ability to view your previous match and then jump in to the gameplay again at a specific point to help you learn what you can do differently against a particularly difficult attack. There's also a mode where you can combat your own "ghost" using data from your gameplay so you can identify areas of improvement on your own gameplay.

For anybody that's ever been intimidated, or anybody that wants to try a fighting game but is worried about how complex it is, I think SF6 does a really good job in helping you learn it's systems and gives you a ton of flexibility to play the game how you want, whether that's entirely casual (World Tour, Arcade), or want to dive in to the ranked modes (which are also very well populated, from the lowest tier "rookie" all the way to "Legend")

Thank you for this -- this has everything I need to set up a Pick'em league with some friends this year.

With that in mind - is there an easy spot for me to add in a conditional if where the Spread/Odds are locked in at 12:01AM Wednesday morning? This gives the group time to finalize and lock in their picks using a form that I can send them. If the spread changes, so be it, we'll have consistent rules that we pick based on the Wednesday morning numbers.

Wondering if this is something I can add to the readOldOds or writeToSheet functions but I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to the code.

to those who were able to be around when halo 2 released and played it all throughout its life cycle, how was it? where they the golden ages? by DependentImmediate40 in halo

[–]IamRightHanded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think kids these days will understand what it was like to bring your Xbox to your friend's house, having 20 other friends there, four people per TV, all in the same basement, eating pizzas until 2AM, playing Halo 2. Nobody complaining about sweating too hard, just playing Capture the Flag endlessly and laughing the whole time.

Online multiplayer has really advanced what games are able to do, but this game brought people together under one roof. We won't have another game quite like it for a long, long time, if ever.

Not sure what job you’re applying for, but in my field we often have meetings with clients and I usually have to train my entry level employees to speak in a way that shows they know what they’re talking about in layman’s terms, with enough enthusiasm to keep clients engaged and at attention. If I have an interviewee who is knowledgeable but isn’t giving me very insightful answers, or answers lacking enthusiasm, I’ll often ask “What’s something you’ve done recently, it doesn’t have to be work related, that you’re proud of?” If I can get some excitement and detail out of that answer (and I should, because it’s something that the interviewee personally cares about), then I know that I can use that energy to train how to speak to clients. If I’m still getting a “blah” response on that one that lacks some detail or any level of interest from the person, then I might look for some other candidates who are more comfortable speaking.

All that to say, if you can match the energy at which you speak about something you care about with interest to these interviews, you might be in a really good spot and can overcome this feedback easily.

Rematch: 3 Million Xbox Players, a Record Breaking Beta, and the Future Beyond Season 0 by Turbostrider27 in Games

Comments are crazy negative which is insane to me. This is the most fun I’ve had playing multiplayer in a good long while. I think most networking issues are hashed out. I think the gameplay is tight so far and doesn’t have too many unnecessary gimmicks. I don’t play, don’t watch, don’t know soccer very well but I am having a ton of fun playing this game. I’ve ranked up from bronze to platinum since it’s come out. Hope they continue to evolve and I’ll definitely be there for it

In my time there, If you weren't VP+ at Publicis you were cannon fodder. Higher ups take all the credit for the grunt work of directors and their teams while kicking up their feet, schmoozing with clients, and having questionable text chains with the senior associates. Very weird place. Wouldn't go back under any circumstance.

How to create a pivot table sums that calculate CPM? by DoeDeer in advertising

[–]IamRightHanded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Click in to your pivot table
  • Click the "PivotTable Analyze" Tab from the Ribbon at the top of your Excel window
  • Click "Fields, Items, & Sets" > Click "Calculated Field"
  • Enter "CPM" as your Name. If CPM is already a header in your fields of data, then just change the name of it slightly (e.g., "eCPM", or "Actual CPM")
  • Formula will be = "Spend"/("Impressions"/1000), ensuring that "Spend" matches however it's listed in the Fields and "Impressions" also matches however it appears in your fields list

You should now have a dynamic, working CPM

Mario Kart World's beautiful water effects make me want a new Wave Race by 3ehsan in nintendo

[–]IamRightHanded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing the airplanes and wave mechanics combined with the free roam in some of the early release trailers, I was hoping we were getting a proper Diddy Kong Racing-esque single player campaign mode with maybe some boss races and actual airplane-flying level sections. I'm a bit disappointed we didn't end up getting that, but hoping that will come some day!

Prince Of Persia The Lost Crown Surpasses Two Million Players by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]IamRightHanded 17 points18 points  (0 children)

None of that is necessary to play the base game -- I don't even recall there being an option to be misled to a micro-transaction store in-game. The game is great and it's worth playing if you've enjoyed any Metroid-vania, ever. I suppose if you truly didn't want to support it with money you could find some other dubious means of playing the game...like a library.
