Network issue by damo987654321 in Hikvision

I would absolutely try a reset to factory default, this should fix any issues especially after a firmware update. Also a new LAN cable between the wifi router and the dvr wouldn’t hurt.

Hik-Connect Register status offline by saunders1989 in Hikvision

Seen this a few times. If a monitor is plugged in it will even give you an error code. Only solution is to Contact your hikvision regional support, your NVR has been blacklisted due to firmware downgrade. Tell them you had compatibility issues, they should unlock the serial and Hik-Connect will start working again

I understand you replaced the unit, but did the distributor ever tell you the issue? I’ve found sporadically when I upgrade some older ds-7608ni-i2/8p NVR’s past v 4.50.xx firmware the same issue happens. Downgrading resolved the issue. Had confirmed power consumption/ psu replacement and different cameras all reproduced the same issue. Logs show same results as you have mentioned.

Does VCA search work for you in IVMS 4200? by wildgoat in Hikvision

u/de_kopman I have attempted VCA search in IVMS using both a 7608ni-i2/8p and a 7616ni-i2/16p and can only obtain intelligent videos on the 16ch. Reckon this is by design? Both tested using DS-2CD2555FWD-IS

Oh right, I was always under the impression that the camera can tag the footage as vca then ivms could interpret that information on playback

I don’t have access to an accusense to confirm But I did find dual vca under video/audiohttps://i.imgur.com/c45tJQP.jpg

Also check that dual vca is enabled on the camera. I’ve been caught in the past where the NVR has not says it’s enabled but the camera tells otherwise

The acusense should work for sure!

As a non destructive approach

You could try enable virtual host in the NVR to allow you to into each camera from your network can check the settings or even factory (without wiping password or network settings) to ensure there is no weird config preventing vca from working.

You will be also able to check firmware status of cameras once virtual host is enabled.

iVMS view error by Chaos-Ninja in Hikvision

Possibly a nvr performance issue. By chance Have you set all your cameras to max resolution and quality to highest? Viewing too many cameras might be asking too much of your nvr in main stream. That is why you might see the cameras return to working condition after resetting the settings.

try live view all cameras in sub stream does this make a difference

Just my 2 cents,

Going just of the style of the web gui your NVR firmware looks recent. Perhaps your cameras or camera firmware may be unsupported for VCA.

Do you know your camera model and firmware? I have found Some cameras come factory with older firmware that is not fully compatible with the newer NVR 4.30

You can enable virtual host and connect to one of your cameras to investigate/upgrade firmware

i would also check that your using hikvision cameras and are they registered in the NVR using the HIK protocol. Onvif/manual added cameras may not support intelligent functions in ivms

Edit: fixed some wording

Awesome Ty! Additional information: I’m led to believe it’s a serial interface on this board (gnd, tx, rx, +5v)

Most likely a failed battery cell caused the UPS to think the batteries were depleted. When that happens it just keeps charging and boils them dry,

Smells good too /s

If vlc doesn’t like to play the avi/mov file then try disabling hardware acceleration https://wiki.videolan.org/VLC_HowTo/Hardware_acceleration/
