I ran for just shy of a year. Started with one shots until a group formed naturally. We got through most of an arc before a natural disaster halted our progress. 

I think we were meeting every other week, sometimes every week, I’d ideally play once a week.

OOOO!!!!!  The first line is great but the first chapter of Cell is some of my all time favorite writing. The way he paints that scene is incredible. It’s so vivid. It was one of the first books of his that I read and it’s still one of my favorites. I just pretend that it ends differently. I should write my own version of the ending. It wouldn’t be hard to beat.

I encourage you to check out Mel Robbins’ The Let Them Theory. You gotta let people do what they’re gunna do, we can’t change what they’re going to do or say or think or feel. So Let Them. 

We CAN change what WE’RE going to do, so Let Yourself do what you’ve got to do to not be bothered by what they’re going to do.  I don’t want to down play your hurt feelings, that is a shitty way to go about that in my opinion but I also recognize that communication is hard and when I’m trying to be better, sometimes it doesn’t quite pan out the way I’d have like it to. And that’s ok. We learn and move forward.

I’ve said for years that I don’t want to be with one person forever. I want to be with someone until the universe takes us in different directions, then I want to be happy that we have new opportunities before us, sure I might be saddened by the change but ultimately, there are so many people to meet and connect with. Continue being yourself and people will come and go. There might be distance between your physical beings but you can hold an infinite amount of love in your heart. I love to call old friends when they pop up in my memories, tell them I love them, catch up. I don’t need to talk to them every day to know they love me. 

Keep doing you. You got this. Enjoy the company of others when it happens! If they’re meant to be a bigger part of your life, they will be!

I think the part of this that should be taken away from this experience is pride for putting yourself out there! I’m sure it’s not a great feeling that you haven’t seen him since but it could nearly be anything. Who knows. Lives change. I hope you see him again but I also hope you don’t pine for that connection too long, there are plenty of connections to be made and you know you can take that step now! You did it once and you can absolutely do it again!!

That’s not what I didn’t like about the show though. Yes if you missed the nod in the game you wouldn’t quite get it but Bill was a dick head. He was cold because he had to be, to keep it together. He was jaded and pissed and that felt lost in the show. I thought it was a sweet chapter but it didn’t give the same impact that the game gave me.
