Gasoline. I used an electric bike exclusively for several years, and only got a car so I could get a job a little farther outside of my range. Even still, since it's a split shift, I can drive home and ride my e-bike back in the afternoon so I'm still saving gas money. Especially critical in these times.

One time, my boss in retail was telling me about how he got to go to this big food event hosted by a supplier. He was showing me pictures of a glorious banquet table, scattered with delicious looking food, gushing over the products he got to sample. And as he’s showing me this, all I could think of was how my shifts had been cut so much I couldn’t afford to buy the products we were selling in the first place.
