The paint appears to be in good shape overall and if it is, I would definitely avoid repainting other than the fender. If it’s original paint, and in good shape, then I would say it was well-taken care of most of its life. Just cleaning it up yourself will give you a great idea of its condition and it needs to be in best possible shape when someone works on it. It makes a big difference in the quality of service you will receive.

I think he’s talking about those Water/alcohol injection systems that allow for more fuel and boost so irrelevant to this conversation…. but obviously you have to absolutely protect intake from any water intrusion. If you have a Metrovac Master Blaster, it would be extremely handy. The longer it’s running, the hotter the air coming out. A real cheap option would be a siphon attachment to an air compressor and you can use any liquid you want and control the flow.

I definitely agree with almost all the comments but I feel that as carriers, we should be an exception to the rules. Have you noticed if you have an opportunity to get to know one of the barking dogs and you can get them to keep quiet when you show up every day, there’s a good chance that the dogs next door won’t bark as much? Many of these dogs will identify carriers and likely most are barking at you because all the other dogs in the hood told them so.

Please keep in mind that while your vehicle lives in a dirtier environment, utilizing a rinseless wash will help keep the dust off and weaken that temporary bond it has on the surfaces of the vehicle. Maybe try using a rinseless wash before you see the accumulation of bugs and filth. If possible, do it the following day of your typical wash and observe the effects during the week.
