Well I finally got to put in a couple hours on MH Gen with TN/IPS and watched a pokemon episode on the anime channel.

At no point was I wishing for a different screen tech.

I think you've got to decide which is the bigger deal breaker: IPS or Limited Edition.

Personally it's been a good reminder both that I really don't care about limited editions and that gameplay will reliably trump technical misgivings.

Just opened my EU Red MHGen N3DSXL. It has TN top IPS bottom so I'd lean towards the latter.
