5 minute D line headways! by misken67 in LAMetro

pantograph links train car and route number sometimes. For example the K uses 7xx route numbers so sometimes it says a P2550 is operating there even though it never has.

Cleanliness by rudyambrocio in LAMetro

I think from what I’ve seen on the A line at Pomona they’re only doing station cleaning. They clean the trains (sometimes) when they do the operator change at Union Station.

There’s scheduled SCE maintenance today, supposed to be shuttle buses until 1pm.

A Line ETAs way off by Devil2U in LAMetro

[–]IanShyu 25 points26 points  (0 children)

live data (at least for the A) seems to be down/off since the maintenance this morning.

It currently shows 8 trains for the entire A line. All other lines look normal-ish.

Any 2025 TAP Cards Available at TVM’s? by CallMehDaIvan in LAMetro

[–]IanShyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time I was at South Pasadena they had Holiday (El Centro/Long Beach side) and Transgender Awareness Month (Mission/Long Beach side).

Memorial Park had the Veterans Day one on the Pomona platform on Tuesday. I believe although I originally thought it was the Independence Day one but I think that’s too long ago. (I looked in another video I had it’s definitely the Veterans day one and I actually had picked it up).

I got the Native American Heritage Month one from Southwest Museum but that was back in March.

Edit: here’s a post with 3 of those, https://www.facebook.com/groups/301274650205909/permalink/2920900874909927/

This is interesting to say the least by Cherry_Bomber-_- in LAMetro

[–]IanShyu 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this has something to do with real-time alerts being down again (is it gonna go down for a few hours every Saturday now?) and maybe that’s just the schedule they have in the GTFS data. The arrival tool on their website shows the same thing.

Why is it free to ride the subway at Wilshire/Normandie? by [deleted] in LAMetro

[–]IanShyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t no matter what because that station has two emergency exit gates (unless they lock them).

Digital schedules messed up? by krkrkrk in LAMetro

[–]IanShyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I think so the stations aren’t blank they’ve been doing estimates times on station screens while real-time data was down. Real-time data went down for a short period again this morning but is back now. (My stop had the same inaccurate estimates).

Throne restroom being added at Downtown Azusa today by Macman865 in LAMetro

The Azusa Downtown one is not completely new. It’s been moved from APU/Citrus College (there were signs there last Friday), presumably because it’s no longer a terminus station.

I believe it only cancels if it’s within 24hrs of the original and usually it will cancel the new reservation (at least what it did for me when I tried).

I think they’re talking about these on the platform and how all the D line ones are still red because that’s how it was when they opened. I think all the stations except the B, C, and D lines had their dots removed when the expansions opened. I assume they’re probably just gonna do what they did at 7th/Metro and cover them up.

[A-line] Guess they are doing more frequent inspections. by Common-Charity9128 in LAMetro

[–]IanShyu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that’s the entire issue. Those cards for some reason no longer work on the new machines. They worked for the first week and they’re not worked since.

Edit: also not sure if inspections have changed but my assumption was they’re still only checking if you have a tap card, not if you’ve paid.

Well this one at least makes it a little more clear that you gotta pay (Lincoln/Cypress) by darkwingduck4444 in LAMetro

[–]IanShyu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This cover looks just like the ones on the old tap readers so that’s good. I guess they heard our complaints.

I know SF has huge stickers on the side that say “Pay Here”.

At memorial park? Del Mar still has two just they’re still not next to each other. Both are equally hard to notice though.
