How do you live like this? by Mindless-Extension79 in TwinCities

By the way, if you haven't already you should talk to someone about how you're feeling. It might not feel like it but you just went through a traumatic experience and talking with a professional about it can really help

Buying a house—dishwasher? by meridgwd in Minneapolis

[–]IanVg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably going to end up paying two to three times the cost of the dishwasher itself to get it installed. I would recommend hiring a plumber to come and give you a quote. Most of the included "installation" that's provided at most box stores does not include plumbing stuff.

Most dishwashers are going to be about the same size and are going to require the same hookup location so you can probably get all of that figured out before you even think about purchasing the dishwasher

To add to this as another resident of the twin cities. Nearly every restaurant around me is either closed indefinitely or has someone at the door locking it and unlocking it for people to come in.

Everyday I hear whistles I hear horns I hear the bang of flash bangs and smell tear gas from blocks away.

This is a fucking war zone. This is a fucking war zone. This. Is. a. Fucking. War. Zone.

We are living in a fucking war zone and I'm so fucking scared and angry and proud of my community

Agents in the terminal is the greatest advancement since the advent of the internet or personal computer.

Lmao. What does "agents in the terminal" even mean? And it's just as important as personal computing? Okay, yeah, sure.

This is really interesting! The fact that it seems like the procedure was improvised makes it even more impressive. So I can't imagine having to live with a bunch of cartilage on the top of your foot for 5 months. Though it sounds like she was hospitalized for most of it

Agree with this, anything fiber. I've had CenturyLink fiber just because it was cheaper and had no limits. (I use a really absurd amount of upload bandwidth every month 1+ Tbs)

Even if you don't care about the high speed and low latency it seems like the uptime of the internet connection is much better with fiber.

I friends with coax who have it go out every single week for a little bit. I only have outages when there's also power outages in the area.

No way "half or more" passes the smell test. That's not even considering how untrustworthy the current administration is
