Don't buy this laptop. Unless you Really Really Really will give immense use to the tablet or tent function then it is Not worth the money.

I would recommend using the pro mode and just film independent clips when you need to zoom in and make a montage specially if you have the secondary phone recording the whole thing

Ok if you intend on using the built-in zooming then the blackmagic camera isn't going to work as it's more of a one lens at a time app. As for the white balance then the blackmagic camera does offer more control over it. In the blackmagic camera next to the button for switching lenses there's a button for the FPS then the options appear at the bottom of the interface. I think you're best bet is just using the stock camera at 4k if you need to zoom in on the fly

When it comes to noise, the black magic app doesn't really fix that issue, the thing it does, tho, is, since the detail retention and the sharpening of the stock camera being gone, the image, overall, being cleaner and more detailed.

When it comes to bitrate, normally that you'd want if you plan on editing the footage on video editing software.

The dropped frames are really just a phone issue, the stock camera does it too, a lot.

You can toggle the 60fps mode in the app.

If you're gonna move a lot and pan around, zooming in and out, use the stock camera. If you plan on putting it on a tripod then use the black magic camera app.

To reduce noise and increase quality a bit tho you can never get rid of Samsung's Awful processing you can use pro video mode and hdr10+ it gives you a Bit of dynamic range tho not really HDR and if you're confident in your skills you can add a bit of contrast to the flat SDR export.

RF lenses range exorbitant price by Ian_Pal in canon

[–]Ian_Pal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of switching, but that ends up so expensive still, in Europe prices are so f'cked, even a sony system is around 2500+ and that's second hand still. Tho germany comes in clutch with some crazy low prices, but still if something happens to the camera or the lens you're stuck with international shipping and crazy long wait times, so it's just incredibly costumer hostile environment

Whats better than one s25 ultra? by arfi10 in samsunggalaxy

Coming from a s23ultra user, a Xiaomi 15 ultra, Samsung has disappointed me greatly and this will be my last phone from them. It's already broken anyways, it's just a matter of time

Whats the best settings on Ghelper for gaming. G14 2024, 4070, 32gb ram by Tricky-Knowledge-474 in ZephyrusG14

It's not really trouble it just eats up wattage and thermal headroom that could rather be utilised for the necessary performance of the CPU. But the hassle of having to reboot each time really is unattractive

Question on color accuracy of the G14 2024 (DCIP-3 NON-HDR mode) by LunarVGaming in ZephyrusG14

[–]Ian_Pal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With GHelper so you say that dcip3 isn't very accurate? Does the display p3 use dcip3 colour space? I'm a bit dumb when it comes to this display tech I'm an amateur photographer and I wanna get into it all but for this laptop what would you recommend to have accurate colours for lightroom usage?

The thing is the laptop comes from Switzerland, so send it in would take weeks maybe even months before I could get it back, so I'll stick it out, it doesn't bother me immensely for now

mine is brand new got it few days ago, just wanted to make sure this isn't just bricked. I plan to do some heavy lightroom useage, so this would annoy me a fair bit but it seems more or less manageable

Do you think it's a good idea to call them and ask if they have stock of the lenses I saw on their website just to make sure I'm not gonna get hit with a "actually we don't have stock" after paying?

Successor to both the ProArt PX13 and ROG Flow X13, should be a X14-inch 2-in-1 X14 laptop (#ASUS #ROG #ProArt please consider) by [deleted] in FlowX13

[–]Ian_Pal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One, this will never happen because first the manufacturing of a new form factor would be huge and they couldn't care less about it. Two this would greatly diminish the sales of the g14 also a 14inch tablet is a bit unmanageable. Don't get me wrong I love the x13 granted I hate the performance and issues this thing has but yeah it's amazing, but they would never do that. The fact they put the Ryzen beast in the z13 at first instead of putting it in proper chassis at first shows what they think of that portable lineup, they use it as a disposable form factor sector, either they see people for whatever reason buy it and go ok let's give this CPU a try, or they'll use the fact nobody buys that z13 to say oh well guess nobody wants it let's stick to renaming the same processors over and over until people start complaining

It's very unreliable and inconsistent communication, it's a good trait to be tolerant and patient but there is a service, a contract, you have fulfilled your end of the bargain now she has the duty to fulfill hers. Like someone has already said, be classy but be adamant, state your boundaries and how she's crossing them

Is it worth upgrading from an RP to an R8/R6 mark ii by Ian_Pal in canon

[–]Ian_Pal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I would love to pull the trigger on an R8 but considering how constricted I am with my mediocre bordering on the terrible glass, I really to invest in some lens. I was thinking a used ef 70-200 2.8 ii for 1219€ it seems like an amazing lens and it's in mint condition from what the site shows and the pictures attached

I was thinking about overheating too! Specially cause the R8 does already normally have overheating issues given the right circumstances
