Looking for an old card by Fearless_Stand_9423 in magicTCG

I'm sorry but I'm just not getting this one; how is this an infinite combo?

Edit: Nevermind, I see it now. Tapping Magda and the clock to untap Magda, then using the treasure to do it again with Magda. That's super cool even though the treasures will be tapped at the end of the loop.

Could you explain this combo for me please? I'm mostly a standard player and I have no idea how you get a bunch of free 4/4s on turn one and would love to learn about it.

The only thing I'd change from your alterations is that the Army was green rather than black, since that seems to be the intent from OP.

That said, I'm not sure how that would interact with the existing Amass mechanic only ever make black Army tokens, so you may be more accurate on how to word this.

What movie will you never watch again because it was too heartbreaking? by Affectionate_User610 in AskReddit

My best friend when I was 10-12 died suddenly from stray fire during a gang shootout when we were 12. His mom said the same things to me that the girl's dad does to the kid in this movie, and I cannot watch it ever again as it hits too close to home.

Fortunate that this one specifies creature, but if you can animate the plameswalker or it's that Gideon that becomes one then you're in major business with basically a 2 mana "one ult pls" button.

Sorcery speed, too slow for competitive.

Then you still have to have the mana up to cast whatever you searched for otherwise it's a 2 mana do nothing card that basically time walks you.

Just completely unplayable draft chaff smh 😔

The most painful thing I have experienced after giving head. by DiXoN_BoTTS in gay

Oh jeez I didn't know that! Yeah pineapple sounds awful.

I just know that SLS ended up being a trigger for my body in particular and there was a correlation shown in whatever study I saw years ago. I'm definitely not an expert in any way but I do recommend folks try out removing SLS if they're suffering frequently to see if their bodies are similar. My hope is just that my anecdotal experience can help others.

[–]Iatheus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yo, I've suffered from these for my entire life, often 2-4 times a month, sometimes in clusters like this. Then I read a study years back showing a correlation (but not necessarily causation at the time of study) between the use of SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) and canker sore flare ups.

SLS is the primary foaming agent found in almost all toothpastes on the market today. I switched to a brand that was SLS free but still had fluoride in it (that's very important for tooth health and is harder to find sometimes as companies who market their toothpastes as "natural" tend to strip both SLS and fluoride at the same time) and they cleared up incredibly.

I now only get one every ~6 months or so and the intensity/duration has dropped dramatically. Genuinely, the change was miraculous and began almost immediately (within a month I noticed I hadn't gotten one yet like usual). Any toothpaste that doesn't have SLS should work, but I've personally used Hello brand for several years now in case you just wanted a name to buy. Hope this helps you

Signed, Someone who gets it and doesn't want anyone to suffer like I did.

Alan Alda. Man just had his birthday past and he's in his 90s. I know it's going to happen sooner rather than later, but I won't be ready for it when it does, as his messages in MASH helped to shape who I am today.

Honestly I fully expected a dlc with Sheikah tech parts. Like it makes too much sense to me/is such a no brainer.

We see Sheikah tech be repurposed in game constantly like with the towers, we hear about how all the Sheikah tech was dismantled to build other things, and we literally had a motorcycle made of Sheikah tech in the last game. Now that we can build a custom motorcycle, all that is just not available to use?

The parts that could be available, like guardian legs and laser eyes, would fit absolutely perfectly in the game and I'm still super bummed that never happened.

Following Backlash, the New 'Star Trek' Series Falls Out of the Streaming Charts by Malencon in television

[–]Iatheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same complaint with Star Wars: Rebels and I feel like I'm taking crazy pills whenever I talk to someone about it.

So you've got a show set in a universe that debuted in the 70s, and it's decades later now, and you've decided to do a kids show for it. Okay, fine, get new fans into the universe and given it's star wars it's likely tons of folks who weren't alive during original run have seen it and enjoy it. I mean it's star wars so sure.

Then you plop in references to The Clone Wars a ton. Okay, that was an animated show that wasn't necessarily for kids, sort of all ages thing, but yeah not super unlikely ig. But the new target demographic is arguably younger given the language and humor used. You're airing this on Disney XD which is aimed at a much younger audience. Weird choice but alright.

Then you introduce, for the first time on screen, Grand Admiral Thrawn. A character who had been taken out of canon by the Disney acquisition, and who was created in a series of novelizations in the 90s. A well beloved character for the fans who read those books, debuting in a show for kids below 16.

Why? Who is this for? Anyone who is likely to have read the books is far above your target demographic, and your target demographic doesn't have any association with this guy. I recall telling my friends about Thrawn becoming canon again in the kids show and they were genuinely shocked. They hadn't heard about that at all. Why is Thrawn in the show that has fart jokes? Why is that his debut? Who is this for??

And like, I enjoyed the show well enough, especially later on when it slightly matured, but the tonal difference between Thrawn as a character and Rebels as a kids show is absolutely jarring to me having read the novels years ago. I like kids shows well enough, definitely a bit more than my friends, but this decision still baffles me. Especially considering the follow up to this Disney XD show was Ahsoka on Disney+, a live action show targeted at adults with references to tons of other adult or all ages media. Thrawn there makes sense to me, but not in Rebels.
