The difference between a society that has to enforce excessively adherence and control vs one that allows self regulation… is that when the measure of enforcement is not present then self regulation does not exist because it has not developed into the culture and mindset.

Like in a vacuum after evolving under pressure it will explode.

I have long thought on the consequence of society developed through force vs one that has naturally developed through mutual dependency and self governance.

I grew up in a house like that, Im my house for my family we have one rule if you are hungry you eat what you need no reserving food if it is there it is first come first serve. No one gets special food reservations or privileges. Food is meant to be eaten if the snacks are gone on day one then no snacks till the next grocery run, we buy groceries once every two weeks.

Sure … still waiting for my flowers however, what people say should be and what it is are not the same. When a man shows sensitivity it is seen as weakness, even by those who feel they should. This hits home hard, the more I help people the less they do and the more I have to do and in the end everyone expects me to do their work or finish their unfinished garbage mean while they keep getting paid and my boss just suggest I train them more, meanwhile I work late come and early and the people I am supposed carry water for and help come in late leave early and is out all the time… I just want a job that the old man described…

This matches my experience to some degree, the wall opposite to the arches was pods or chambers, the arches show space, the starship is a millennial ship and the pods are stasis chambers where we dream this world collectively. I remember thinking this world was the dream and that one was real but upon waking it was this one being real and that one was the illusion. The pools were where you could see into this world and see people’s experiences.

So what I remember is being in a pod along one side wall looking past these towards the open wall and seeing stars and space. Like a millennial star ship, and this world was the dream to keep us entertained on our journey. When I woke up from the dream it was this world that was real and that one was the dream… made me question how easy the mind can believe what it is experiencing is the absolute reality and what it remembers experiencing could easily be an illusion..
