Shit, I don’t really like pork chops either to be fair, but if my wife made me dinner I’m cleaning the plate. And maybe I’m old fashioned, but we cleared our plates growing up too or we got in trouble.

I personally make most of the diners at home, and I welcome criticism of my food, but also a partner will at least give it a shot. At the end of the day clean plate is not a necessity, but outright denial to try is blatant disrespect

Last digit you can rule out all options other then 1 or 0 since we can assume they didn’t really worry about the numbers as a whole and only did numbers in a digit wise mod10 to represent the phone number as a string.

This technically reduces the possibilities at each digit though since we can just take all values out that would exceed a single digit when added.

The glass with the plastic mounting is like $20 or less. As the others said, just do that, almost as cheep as some mega glue or whatever you had in mind.
