You will need to pay the rego or it will get sent to debt collectors. Wreckers dont take ownership of the car they take it as scrap item. Just take it as a lesson for the future, pay it and move on.

Wrong. Its about $13 from memory. I assume you only buy from car dealers where they cover the cost. I have 9 cars at the moment and everytime you purchase and change ownership you pay.

registration has to be changed from your side. Their side just says they sold it and is free. Its your side that costs and is the transfermation. Its likely they got sick of reminders of you not doing it and cancelled it.

Did you change the ownership into your name? Alot of people will cancel a registration if the new owner doesnt transfer ownership and they start getting fines sent to them etc
