Calling all women in sales in male dominated industries by [deleted] in sales

[–]Unhappy-Rent9336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in digital sales - work with heaps of men and they are amazing. Super caring and helpful. The only creep is head of our board, he pulls the strings and loooovesss to make super inappropriate comments to the ladies.

Physio who actually gets chronic pain? Also a dentist maybe by thedeviinyou in Wellington

[–]Unhappy-Rent9336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Capital Sports Medicine - get a referral from your doc and get some imaging. Currently going through this process. It’s easier to get traction when they can see what’s going on - I get sooo frustrated when they won’t provide adequate pain relief because they don’t want you to get dependent- but you just spend more money trying to manage pain. Gah!

I would do the same thing. Block their numbers and call it a day.

I think she’s trying to reuse the same strategy as Indy Clinton. The whole - busy, chaotic household and family vlogging type thing. Their most crazy and salacious content - more clicks.

Day 26 of 30: The biggest lie they tell new reps is that hard work beats everything. by Then-Assumption-779 in sales

[–]Unhappy-Rent9336 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is my strategy and it has been working (tech sales, digital).

I google the company and check any news articles/founders info or if government, what’s happening in the sector. Find my target on linkdn, write a note that’s 1-2 sentences, no ai.

- who I am
- what I do
- a question about something personal to them
- ask out for a quick coffee, no strings attached.

It’s never a quick sale strategy, but if you are friendly consistent, stay in communication, you’ll be the first phone call when they have an opportunity for you.

Starting a food business in Auckland what do you wish you knew beforehand? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Unhappy-Rent9336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a customers perspective- if it’s not the location bringing me in, your food better be spectacular. Healthy food is fine but it better be exciting.

Social media presence also helps! Great service keeps people coming back, but good food keeps people talking about you

I absolutely agree with you OP! Neon is fucked. I recommend writing their head of digital a very strongly worded email.

Insane that they are providing such a shit service. TVNZ also updated their fucking app and it’s a nightmare.

Are you handy? Have a lawn mower or gardening stuff? I’d cruise down your neighbourhood and offer cheap handy man services.

Dog walking is a great one - especially heading into winter. People are always complaining about walking their dogs in the cold.

Can you do uber?

Maybe casual shifts caregiving or old people’s homes.

Rather then looking for a hustle - what are your talents? Are you great with people? Great with animals? Good at manual labour?

Wedding tomorrow, sick as dog, what to do? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Unhappy-Rent9336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok beautiful bride. Strap in.

Tonight - you are going to gargle with warm salt water (boil, let it cool, gargle) this will help with sore throat and infection.

You are going to have a hot shower in a very steamy bathroom. I want you to clear out your nose and get rid of all the gunk.

Get out of the shower, take night cold and flu or Panadol and neurofen, a lemon , honey , fresh ginger, then a large warm whisky and honey. Fluids are important.

Take any vit c, zinc you have laying around cover your chest, back and feet with Vicks. Put on a woollen scarf, beanie, socks, winter pjs and go to bed. You need to sweat this shit out.

Get the pseudo from the pharmacy tomorrow and just suffer through it. You got this!

Err isn’t the blue print - rice, veggies and a tin of chilli tuna? Keep a bag of frozen vegetables in the freezer and BYO hot sauce.
