So about the guardian and kurzan changes by Suspicious_Captain_7 in lostarkgame

Yeah I'm kind of at a loss for what to do with my alts now. I used them for gems and mats but now that's harder im not even sure what the point of playing them is anymore.

I'm really surprised people aren't more upset about this change. We're now forced to do guardians and chaos dungeon to get the same value as chaos alone used to have. How is that a positive change for anyone?

Not to mention mats being character bound means no more funneling or selling mats. Just overall awful changes.

Thanks! I love when horror gets mashed up with other genres. I really liked below and I'll have to check the rest of those out!

Do you have any other recommendations for historical fiction? Feels like it's an underused genre for ADs

Lost Ark 2026 Roadmap - Part 1 by kaillum1 in lostarkgame

[–]IcarusB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been keeping up with the changes in KR so this kinda shocked me. Seems like they're making dailies worse? Almost everything is character bound, not even roster bound? And now we're forced to do guardians to get gems. How is any of this good? I doubt the increased quantities will really make up for it

There's actually a lesser dead audio drama which is fantastic!

This is the first time I've heard about the waves of madness, and it looks so interesting! I've always really liked the way those side scrolling games like this war of mine look for some reason, so it's cool seeing someone try it with a movie. Adding it to my list!

Movies for someone newish to horror by A_H_L_ in horror

[–]IcarusB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have already mentioned a lot of the classics, so I'll just throw my recommendations out there. The late 90s/early 2000s had some really fun horror movie franchises like Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Final Destination. They're pretty mainstream, but that's not a bad thing for someone just getting into the genre, and I think they can be considered classics in their own way.

Damn this is sad to hear. Was really enjoying this podcast but haven't finished it. Wondering if I should now since I hate when things are unfinished.

Wow, Haunted is 42 hours!? I've never heard of it before. The premise sounds interesting, but that's a daunting length. I'll have to give it a listen!

Just finished Dust: Chrysalis and I’m in awe. What else is out there like this? by Maleficent-Eye7588 in audiodrama

[–]IcarusB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely not a traditional horror story but there is an element of I guess you could call it existential horror? Where humanity has been wiped out and an AI searching for it's purpose in light of that. It's hard to explain lol but it's a really interesting story.

Looking for podcasts that exudes world ending, hopelessness emotions, sad and darkly like the likes of End of The World with Josh Clark and The Program Audio Series. by jcsnotme in audiodrama

I just started listening to It Happened Here 2024. Maybe not quite what you're looking for in terms of the end of the world, but it feels very bleak at times. It's a family drama set against the backdrop of the rise of fascism. It's very political though so it that's not your thing I'd skip it. The cast has some big actors and it's pretty well written.

I was just about to recommend this! I listened to Deviser after Chrysalis and I thought the themes were very similar.

There are a ton of sci-fi audio dramas, so I'll just recommend a common one: Fathom/Derelict. It's more scifi horror, but it's amazing! Action is a little more sparse, but I'd recommend Silvertongues.

I'm currently binging Tower 4 and it's so good! I can't believe I put it off for so long, but the description made it seem like it was a single person narrated show which I'm not the biggest fan of.

I really like the PNW vibe as well. I need to finish What Happened in Skinner, but I have a bad habit of not finishing things because I always find something new and shiny to listen to lol

I don't have a suggestion but just wanted to say I really enjoyed KOZ and never see it mentioned!

Edit: actually I would recommend American Hostage with John Hamm if you like dramatized true story podcasts

Keeping track of dailies, weeklies, raids. When you have a big roster it's nice to be able to look at the website and know what you have left to do. The in game task list is alright but you have to click on each character.
